Surprised to hear that Red Square is now a full on pick-up joint. The last time I was there, admittedly a few years ago, it was a legit upmarket club with quite high-maintenance Jakarta ladies out having a good time but on their own dime. Sounds to me like it's just another BATS or CJ's now, with absurd prices to match. Am I right?

Went to Alexis for the first time after 5 years of visits to Jakarta. Time was around 9 PM.

No entrance fee if you want to go to the massage areas. Tried that first. Mama-san showed 7-8 PRC girls but did not partake.

Went up to the lounge section. Have to pay an entrance fee there. Think it was 150K or something. Line-up based on nationalities.

Indonesians. Around 15 of them.

Viet. Around 5-6.

PRC. 4-5.

Thai. 5-6.

Former Soviet Union. Around 5-6.

Indonesians at IDR 1 million while other nationalities at 2mil each. Did not ask about the Ruskies, who should be more expensive.

Couple of smoking hot Thais but did not partake since I visit Thailand often enough. Others were 6-8 on my scale. Seen far better FSU in Dubai. Asked an Indo to sit with me but she was a bit uncomfortable. So asked her to go if she was not upto it.

If you stay for more than 90 mins, you have to pay a surcharge.

Left without partaking.

Nice place if you want to blow up some entertainment expense. I understand they bill costs in liquor on the bill.

Classic more or less is in the middle of Malio and ALexis, so you can stay there and use the spa in the day (almost the same girls at Club). Most Taxi drivers will know that hotels, but better use Blue Bird Taxi or Express. The session is 170 USD at classic. 180 USD at Malio and 220 USD at ALexis. You spend about 90 minutes with the girl (in ALexis 30 minutes at spa and 60 minutes at the room).

Otherwise you can stay at cheap and good hotels in jalan Mangga Besar (entertaintment center is here, but no Viets I think) , you still not far from 3 spots above.

And before any of the others ask yes I did live in Bangkok for several years. My comments are from living in Thailand not visiting.

That's why now I visit mostly Indonesia for holidays, never any issues with racist girls as they mostly are after your money, which is colorless to them.

They head to MyBar in Blok M and charge the normal Blok M rates of 700, 000 everyday if they haven't found their client near closing time. Plus it's definitely buyer's market as there are 2 or 3 for every guy even on a busy night (but they are so stubborn they still won't budge below these inflated prices). So a lot of them even some real spinners end up going home alone.

Remember, they have to pay those expensive cover charges to get in (if it isn't Ladies' Night) plus the taxi ride back home. So that's at least 200,000 in expenses.

Atleast it is what I like to believe. But as you mention it does not give a significant advantage over others when money is involved. I rarely encounter indo girls (or taxi drivers) who actually like middle east arab guys (although that is usually more behaviour then looks wise) , but still business enough with them so guess the money turns it all around.
