It needs to stop wrapping itself around Feminism like a snake because it will not crush it or stop it. One works for Rand-McNally, went to Russia to get his bride and since have been back and forth to Russia together. America is on the slow train to oblivion and its time to get out if your concerned about the ever encroaching security / police state we find ourselves in. When both parties agree on anything that's generally bad news for you. There's a 2-3% chance I will go to Central America instead but I like Brazilian women too much and find other countries lacking overall.

So the penalty is the narrowing exchange rate. 19% inflation since 2007 banking crisis, items we take for granted in the states are either not available or very expensive and having to learn Portuguese.

Small price to pay.

Right now I am looking to pick a retirement place.

One major factor is the availability and quality of a woman to share my retirement.

I like Asian women but fear that the culture shock between a North American / Western culture and an Asian one will be too much to take for long term. A few months or a year is OK but not forever.

My possible locations are Panama, Belize or Uruguay.

Any comments about the quality and availability of nice younger (less than 40 preferable less than 30) for a long term relationship would be appreciated.

How in the world did you ever end up with Panama, Belize or Uruguay on your short list? Buy a book on Philippine culture and take a trip there. Plenty of good advice on the Philippine threads here. I live in Latin America and fly all the way there twice a year. I must have a good reason. If for some reason you are convinced that latin america is the place for you, I suggest you scrub those three countries and look elsewhere. Belize was the last stop for the slave ships and all the least attractive dregs that no one else wanted ended up there. Not the best looking population in the Caribbean or Central America.

I like Asian women, they are raised to satisfy their man however they are also raised to satisfy their man so that their man will support their families.

Have an Indonesian girlfriend who I just spent several months with. Had a hard time adjusting to the Asian culture on a lot of levels after the newness wore off a bit. The first several weeks were great.

Basically I had a serious issue with the expectation that I would be the main support for her family. She is one of 8 children and when we went to Jakarta for a few days to visit them all I ended up fully funding everything from amusement park visits to meals out.

I was even asked for money to pay for the gas to take everyone to the parks where I was expected to pay for entrance.

I was asked for money for cell phone credit for their kids.

I was asked for money so that they could go on vacation.

I was asked for money so that they could make house repairs.

I was asked for money for medical bills. (That one I helped with.)

Do not mind paying more than my share as what it cost me means a lot less to me than it did to them but it was the EXPECTATION that I would pay and the total lack of any show of real gratitude or acknowledgement that really pissed me off. That and the fact that it was every time. Even when we went to the low cost local restaurants where they would eat on their own, I was expected to pay for everyone and never an offer that someone else would pay.

Also when I read through the Philippine threads the common topic is how the women there are all drama queens. Never spend much time there but have worked and known many Philippine women and the tendency is there for them to become drama queens.
