At the end of your subscription the service will simply end. Well before that you will get e-mails asking you to renew. I have used my visa card on that site without issues.
As far as the length of the subscription, why would you subscribe for a year? Three weeks before your trip is lots of time to allow you to communicate before your travel as plus another week while you are in the country. You will spend more the cost of a monthly subscription, but far more than you need to over the course of the year.
It's like a light, just turn it on when you are entering the room and off when you leave.

The default is that they will automatically renew your subscription (whether it's 3 months, 6 months or 1 year) for the same period when the initial sub runs out unless you manually go into the settings and turn OFF the auto-renewal.
Amanut's idea is better.
Just go with the minimum sub available 2 weeks prior to but including time in country and you are set, unless, of course, you want to carry on interminable meaningless conversations for the remainder of the year.

I am planning to return to the Philippines. In my last two trips there, DIA and pinalove provided me with several true GFE companions. Was recently sent a message on whatsapp by a lady who saw my profile on DIA.
We started chatting, said lady being from the far south with a comely face and being nice and slim which I naturally complimented. She then sent me some pics indicating body was quite desirable.
