I've been to both areas and have posted about them here on ISG, but am reluctant to recommend them to someone who appears to be a newbie who's not from Jakarta and probably doesn't speak Bahasa Indonesian.

Knowing the ropes and speaking the local language counts for a lot in these places, as opposed to some of the high-end places where an out-of-towner with no Bahasa skills would do just fine.

However, if RoyaleMan99 wants to check out these places, then I wish him luck and look forward to reading his field reports. If memory serves me, I had an afternoon session in 1997 with a 35-ish lady near the Tanah Abang railway station for 100,000 rupiah total (room + girl but condom not included). Theres a bar with pijat upstairs within walking distance of Mall Ciputra down a back alley off Jl Daan Mogot. Quite nice looking girls too. Condom optional. Rooms are a little confronting. Was there last week. Could afford the top of town but love finding these places.

The prices he listed are correct.

Malio is either 800k or 1 million for locals (seemingly dependent on how white their skin is) and I believe 1.7 million to 2 million for exports. 1.2 million for exports was a couple of years ago.
