Premium and imported beers.
Be careful what beers you are talking about.
Premium and imported beers like Bohemia, Heineken, will cost $1 more in HK than local beers, like XX, Tecate, Indio ect.
Premium and imported beers.
No one mentioned premium and imported beers!
Regular beers = 4 dollars all the time in the club.
Killer local craft beers in azul!
Talk to Simon in Azul he will hook you up with the flavor you're wanting. Many excellent craft breweries in Tijuana. Azul usually has some daily or happy hour deal. The deck is a great place to kick back observe the alley shananigans and sip a coolie!
Azul's 2-4-1 dinners with wine
To DrMcnaughty.
Just curious, what are Azul's Happy hour deals?
Which craft beers and how much they charge?
I was having a 2-4-1 steak dinner with my wingman on Azul's balcony. 2 rib eyes served on hot plates, each over 1 pound perfectly grilled to rare with all the trimmings, costed only $11 or 187 pesos with the coupon, what a great deal.
I asked Azul's waiter for their wine prices. Despite having wine bottles hung on the wall, he had no wine list or details about the types and brands. He said a glass of red wine would cost 150 pesos. WHAT? I asked him again, he again confirmed 150 pesos a glass. Mr. Pampas only charged 300 pesos for a full bottle of good Chilean reserva wine. There had to be an error in Azul's price, or more likely they had no wine and had to buy from HK, paying inflated prices. Any way I ordered a Bohemia beer and he said 50 pesos, which would be Azul's prices. HK's price would be 85 pesos for Bohemia.
To complicate prices further, Azul's 2-4-1 dinner deals have to be consumed in HK, with drinks bought from HK's bar, not Azul's. Normally if you dine with HK's chicas in Azul, the drinks and fichas have to be ordered with HK's meseros at higher prices. We were sitting on the balcony with cool night breeze, enjoying the view full of sexy activities on the street below. My wingman did not want to eat with the deafening noise in the club. Azul's manager was nice enough to make a long phone call to HK's owner for a waiver. Finally we got the 2 steak dinners we wanted for $11 on Azul's balcony.
We ordered filet mignons from Azul's menu; they served big rib eyes instead, but we did not give them a hard time. The steaks were perfectly grilled to rare, tender and tasteful in Azul, vs. Always burned to shoe leather when ordered from HK. Steaks are not on HK meseros' snack menu, but ask for Santiago, the young mesero with a Mohawk hair. He's a good, honest guy, speaks English and can mange the system to get you 2 steaks for $11.
Got to admit, business guys in La Zona have good customer service and are very reasonable to deal with, completely opposite the old farts in this site who would pick nits, make false accusations to smear their friends, and try to puff themselves up every little chance they have.
