It take the guy 10 seconds to make the transaction and he makes more than 50 euros, I think. I finally found the place, the jewelry store to exchange the rest of the cash, $2000, I got 1790 with no fee at all. This place is east of the main train station, when you come out of the staton, go strait one block at the corner, in the center of the red light area.

Well, to be honest it was informative. That doesn't mean I agree with what you did, but on the other hand, it's p6 (it's your money, and girls are there to make money). With some common sense, you would acknowledge that the draw of De clubs are it's rates, and thankfully it's standardized to reduce complications(pricing equality no matter the punter), and this is advantages for many folks. On the punter side, it's advantageous, as we are customers. If more and more guys do what you did, there are consequences, and that you should know (general level of what you get at a club is what expectations girls have of the clientele at the club).

Felt safe most of the time since I walked by the road, few times through some smaller streets but I was always ready to run for my life, LOL.

It cost around 11-12 eur.

Should be safe but perhaps not anymore due to the rapefugees.

A grown man to be attacked at night in Germany is as likely as getting a Blackjack hand at the casino from a dealer, in daylight as likely as getting it twice in a row. I am not saying it could not happen, but the chances are very low. And if you should be the chosen one, and it would happen, you might loose the contents of your wallet and your watch, but not really your life. So no sweat, and if you like to go for a walk, Just fucking do it. There are not many countries out there, which are safer, maybe Japan, Nordics and Benelux.

With regards to taxi: if the taxi driver uses the shortest possible route via "Kirschenallee" (after two years of road construction work re-opened again!) to main station, this will result in the cheapest fare (below 10 Euro!) Some taxi drivers prefer a slow mode and try to show you a bit of nightly Darmstadt too. YMMV.

Some guys are amazing. They think nothing to spending 100 to 300+ Euros in a club and then work out how they can save circa 10 Euro on a taxi.
