briton. 64, gunned down.
a british man who owned a south philippines beach resort was shot dead in front of his wife by thieves.
anthony nicholas. 64, died in a hail of bullets when he refused to stop his motorised tricycle for armed men.
they fired on him as he rode past, riddling his body with further shots as he lay on the floor.
mr nicholas's killing was witnessed by his wife judith who handed over shop takings to the men near the resort they operated called hijoe beach in sipalay, negros.
nicholas. 64, was shot dead by thieves in front of his wife judith near the beach that he owned in sipalay, southern philippines.
the couple's son james was visiting from london and raced to the scene from their nearby farmhouse.
the 28-year-old, from pinner, london, said: 'my father drove through a hail of bullets and then they shot him in the back. when he collapsed they emptied their guns into his body.
'my father had driven on to protect my mother and her assistant but he died almost immediately. '
mr nicholas said his father was part-owner of 'hijoe beach and that he was known locally as 'hi joe! '.
there had been a dispute over the beach but there was no evidence to connect the beach to the shooting.
the computer games expert spoke today as his mother and her assistant were treated for shock *and police began a hunt for the murderers.
speaking from matlag farmhouse nestled in the hills just above sipalay city, he added: 'my father had been coming here for 40 years and fell in love and married my mother here. he had a resort a shop and a farmhouse.
: the farmhouse owned by anthony nicholas where his son james was staying when the killers struck.
'he had a routine. everyday he would go down to the beach resort and return in the evening picking up my mother and her assistant and the day's takings from the shop.
'he was driving home in their motorised tricycle and side car when they were waved down.
'they were already on our land. dad drove straight on and the robbers opened fire then shot him in his back when they passed. he collapsed and fell over.
'the robbers approached and demanded any cell phones, so the police could not be called. my mother shouted to her assistant 'give them the money', which was just the days takings from the shop.
'the robbers ran off when they heard the sound of another vehicle approaching.
'i was at the house and heard the commotion. i had come to visit on my way from london to japan to take up a job there. '

mr nicholas said his older brother anjo. 30, had had to leave his new job and was flying out from london and his younger sister joan. 23, would be following on later.
'my father loved it here. in days gone by it used to be a little bit scary because there was a lot of activity by the npa – the communist new people's army, ' he added.
'but there has been no trouble since the 2007 amnesty. there has been a minor dispute over the ownership of a local beach, but at the moment this appears to be just an opportunist act. '
sipalay mayor oscar montilla, however, said the nicolas' killing was isolated and was not expected to affect sipalay's tourism industry.
the area has become a popular new tourist resort since the government gave communist guerrillas an amnesty three years ago – with pristine beaches and excellent diving conditions.

manila, philippines – police will invite for questioning the eight reported girlfriends of a german hotel executive who was shot dead as he was walking to work in makati city thursday morning, an official said yesterday.
national capital region police office (ncrpo) chief director roberto rosales said initial investigation showed the girlfriends of sergio mazza. 38, could have had something to do with his death.
'we found out that the victim is maintaining eight girlfriends at the same time. that is why we are zeroing in on the love affair angle in our investigation of his killing, ' rosales in an interview.
he directed makati city police chief senior superintendent froilan bonifacio to invite for investigation mazza's eight alleged girlfriends.
makati city police investigators are digging deeper into the case while the ncrpo is assisting them, said rosales. earlier, bonifacio told the star that based on the accounts they have gathered, mazza seemed to have multiple relationships with women.
'we're zeroing on that. he had lots of women and the investigation boils down on his personal life involving these affairs, ' bonifacio said. he, however, said they are still trying to corroborate witnesses' accounts. mazza, assistant executive food and beverage manager of the shangri-la hotel, was shot in the face at close range by a gunman with a. 22 caliber pistol at the corner of de la rosa and perea streets at about 7:30 a. m. thursday.
a witness said the gunman boarded a taxi where a woman was waiting for him, police said.
according to bonifacio, mazza's co-workers at the hotel claimed that the victim was very warm and friendly and did not have any known enemies.
police already ruled out robbery as the motive because mazza's belongings, including the p20, 000 in his wallet and blackberry mobile phone, were untouched.
rosales hopes the statements of mazza's girlfriends would help solve the case.
'we expect to make arrests in due time, ' the ncrpo chief said.
bonifacio said they are going through footage taken by closed-circuit television (cctv) cameras installed in establishments near the crime scene.
'we will probably give you feedback' by noon today, he said.
bonifacio said mazza's killer 'could be a gun for hire because he knew what to do and knew there is a cctv camera in the area. he even checked whether he had killed the victim before boarding the taxi. ' – with jose rodel clapano.

Think of it as paying a little more for insurance against being setup which could end up costing you Thousands not to mention prison before you can even stars to defend yourself.
Food for thought.

What goes around comes around
INTRO: Second time in AC, and I had great expectations from my visit two years back. This time I stayed 18 days divided into 3 periods (was to Cordillera and Palawan in between). Full hotels all the time so I had to move between different places.
I checked out a lot of different bars on and off Fields, but I sticked to three of them for getting girls. I am sorry about the anonymyzation of persons and places, but I just have to do this.
A MIXED START: The first few nights are nothing special, I take out some girls from Bar-A, some good, but varying performances. Then I go to the Cordillera Province. When I come back I go to Bar-B. A girl on the stage smiles at me, she lookes both pretty and horny so I call her down. Her name is S, we soon go back to my hotel. She turnes out to be very good and she stayes all nite. Now I start to be happy, the first really good nite so far.
HEATING UP: The next days I look around in different places, and take more girls from Bar-A. I also go to Bar-C where I meet R. I notice her at once I walk into the bar, she looks so innocent! I buy her a LD, she tell me she is 20 years old, has just began working in the bar and has had sex only once before (and that was before she began working in AC). She won't go with me that nite, but says she will do so the next nite. So she does, and she is really nice and passionate, but inexperienced in bed. (When I suggest different things we can do, she often replies: "ahh, but I don't know how to do that".) After this I buy a Phillipine SIM-card for my cellphone, and start texting with R. When she has a day off she come to my hotel. I pay half price of the regular bf for that.
CONFUSION: But I start to miss S. So one day I go back to Bar-B. I arrive a bit too late, at 10pm, she has already been barfined. Some other girls notice my disappointment, and say "You should have come earlier!" and "You can take another girl" and then point at their friend (they often do this). And one of them, called T say: "S said you were nice". Interesting, I guess this roumor thing can turn out to be an advantage if one uses it the right way. I really like T, she is very pretty and we kiss passionate. So I am surprised when she don't want to go with me."We have hygiene check tomorrow", she says. Well well, I go to Bar-A and get a girl there, only medium pretty, but very good in bed. The next day I go to Bar-B again, T says that she had been to late for the medical check-up in the morning and therefore she cannot not go out. True or lie? I don't know. But anyway, now I got a hang-up on her. And I know that such a thing is not good, not good at all.
INTERMEZZO: Then I go to Palawan for some days. When I come back I go to Bar-B again. Partly because of T but also because I like the place and they have many pretty girls. T now have the excuse of the mens, and she will not come with me. Finally I understand that I should just forget about her. (Thinking about it, I have never seen T getting a bf, only having LDs.) So I go with another girl, Y, instead. She is good in bed, but keep asking me these irritating questions: "why are you not married? Why are you so quiet?" and so on. She also has noticed that I like T."I don't understand why she won't go with you", she says.
Next nite I go to Bar-C and met R again, now she starts to be a bit more experienced, we have the best nite so far.
BUSY NITES: The nite after I go to Bar-B yet another time. A girl called E catches my attention. I had seen her on my visits to Bar-B before, but she had never seen to be "interested". It turnes out she was just a bit shy. For instance, she don't want to kiss much (dfk) in the bar, but wow, when we came back to my room. Fantastic! (This shows that you cannot always be sure of how eager the girl is going to be by judging from her behaviour in the bar. Sometimes there are surprises.)
Next day is Valentine's day. R sends me text messages in the morning: "happy valentines.". In the evening I go to Bar-C to meet here. But she's not there. They say it's her day off, and that she is now sleeping, earlier she had been drinking."Because she had no Valentine". Hmmm, girls really take this Valentine-thing serious. I should of course have called her earlier in the day. I decide to go to Bar-B instead, I am sure E wants to be my Valentine. And, yes, she does. When I enter the bar things seem different, some of the girls stop talking, and look at me, I immidiately go over to E and kiss her and says "happy Valentine". All applause this (the girls and waitresses in the bar now now me well) , we have a quick drink and go to my hotel. This nite is even better than the nite before, she seems different and asks me several times "did you miss me?" She stays all nite and all is really good!
WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND: A new day: I go to Bar-C to meet R. Sort of to make up for not meeting her the nite before. (This turnes out to be a wrong decision.) We go back to my hotel at 9. For some reason the sex isn't so good this time, and she leaves at midnight. I fall asleep. At 2:30 in the morning I am awaken by a phone call from the reception: "E is here, can she come in?" (The hotel has this very good service of calling when a girl leaves or arrives. To ask if everything is ok.) I am surprised. Then she enters my room and throws herself on the bed: "I sleep here!" She is somewhat drunk and wear more makeup than usually."Why didn't you come to Bar-B tonite? Do you have another girl here?" "No", I reply,"Are you jealous?" She answers yes. I say that I want her to stay and then we kiss a bit, but when I won't say anything regarding having had another girl in the room earlier that nite she gets angry and leave. (Maybe I should have lied and answered no to her question.) Folks: Watch out for this, Filipina girls can get really dangerous when they are jealous.
HAPPY ENDING? : Next evening I go to Bar-B at 7. Already lots of people there, and I am too late. E is just in the process of being barfined by another man. When the girls on the stage see me they shout to E: "your valentine!" I sit down and talk to some of the other girls."E was sad because you didn't come here last nite, so she started drinking. She fell in love with you". Hmmm, so now I have made two girls getting drunk this week, I think to myself. It's all so strange."It's only short-term, she will come back for you", another girl says, and give me E's phone number. However I am not sure about that, so I take another girl, N. In fact I had noticed her several times before and wanted her. We go back to my hotel, and she is good, great sex. But she leaves already at 11. Ok, I then text E, saying I'm alone and that I want to meet her. She answers, and half an hour past midnight she is in my room. She stays all night and everything is good again."Do you like me?" she always asks. I say yes, and promise to back to meet her the next time I am in The Philippines. For this last nite toghether I pay nothing.
The next day is my last in AC, I say goodbye to E (and later in the day I meet R to say goodbye to her too). Then the final tuk-tuk ride to the bus-station. And I realize I miss E a lot, and that I cannot forget here. Now the question is: should I give up my free (but lonely) life as a forever traveller in exchange for settling down and get something unknown? The answer is pretty obvious isn't it?
CONCLUSION ON AC: The scene is still good but not as good as two years ago. Then ALL my girls stayed all night and provided excellent service, not too difficult to find them either (of course had to look around a bit to find someone who seemed the girl WANTED to go along with me). This time: 1/3 stayed LT. 1/3 ran after 1 hour, and 1/3 stayed half night / 4 hours (something that sometimes is the best). The service was very variable (ranging from excellent to mediocre) , and it was more hassles and expences at the bars. So I concur with previous postings on this. BTW: There is a saying that "thinking with your wrong head" can get you into trouble. Not true. I say it is your heart that you can get into trouble!
