Advice / experience with Pedwest on Weekday morning and traffic northbound towards LA? Another thing is. The hotels in the US during summer is expensive. Damn, you're on tight schedule. If I were you I would be out of HK by 3 am the latest and in your car by 3:20. You'll be at ONT hotel no later than 5:20. If you wait any longer than that 15 north starting to get jammed before 91 freeway (there's some sort of construction going on). Just drink some coffee or red bull, so you won't fall asleep.

If yo want to get out the following morning, what time check out at your ONT hotel? 12 noon?. You have to be in your car by 9/9:30 am. By that time 15 north starting to ease up from morning rush hour, and you'll be at your ONT hotel by 11/11:30. But it only takes one car accident on 15 north to screw you up and I've been there.

I'd rather be in the road before morning rush hour starts than after.
