Best service available is the Limo Pattaya. Google it for email and phone number. I have used them for years and never a probelm.
Thanks for the info. I just got a response from them. I think they're quoting 2400 bht for round-trip. Only question I have out there is if they offer beverage service of any kind. They don't take any CC info, payment is cash, which I have no ploblem with. What would a regular taxi cost from the airport to Pattaya?

There is some room for negotiations. 2400 round-trip is a good deal.
i always use them. on every trip, they meet me, wait for my girlfriend to arrive 45 minutes later, carry my bags to the car, drive at a good speed, not killer fast, but not slow. they will stop at the rest area on the motorway if you ask when they start. you can get anything there from a slurpy to kfc.
when i went back to bangkok, i just called in the morning at 8 and i had a car waiting at my hotel at 9:30. he took me to my hotel in bangkok, with a stop for an egg mac muffin at the rest stop. i can't say enough good things about them. they charge 1000 bt to pattaya and pay the tolls and garage fee. i always tip a couple hundred bt, because we all want to live a good life, including the driver.
i am using them this week as well. i normally want to get there sooner and spend less time in the vehicle so i usually try to get them to go faster. i ask them how long it will take and normally try to get there between 15 and 30 minutes before depending on the time they quote. i then offer to tip them good if they can get me there by (enter a specific time, normally based on the time they quoted minus 15-30 minutes.

Soi 6 Crawls
I have a lot of extra time this upcoming trip and would like to make 2-3 Soi 6 bar crawls. In the last couple of years, I've only been to Red Point and Lisa Bar.
So I'm looking for some serious feedback on the seediest and down & dirty bars on Soi 6. Your favorite and why would be a great help as well.
Please, no Pook, Hi Boss, or So What Bar suggestions.
If you are around, I'll buy a few!

First I all I want to admit that the following recommendations come from experiences going back a few years, so of course things may have changed. You mention Red Point and that has been my favorite overall thanks to Dao. I once had a great 3some at the King Kong bar, very memorable. Did some takeout from the Mandarin bar, with some good results.
Sleeziest overall experience was in the My Friend You bar, where I would have done well to have a look at the young lady in the daylight first before taking her upstairs. Her service was over the top, but I needed to keep my eyes closed at times due to some aesthetic marginality on her part.
Cheers;
Raz

Paid 300 for the room, and 700 for the girl.
Can anybody provide me a link to a reputable transfer service for pick-up at BKK and transport to PTY hotels. Something more upscale than just an airport taxi. Maybe a service that also offers refreshments (water, beer, etc) for the trip? I would like to be able to book online. On my last visit we had transportation service like I seek through the PH hotel, but not sure if they're owned / operated by the PH. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
I have used Bell Travel Service and they have been super. Very efficient and professional. Their normal service is a shared service, but if you contact them I believe they do have private cars and vans available:

Bell service
Bell travel is perfect. They take you to Pattaya station from wer you get a van to hotel. All inclusive in price. Guess around 200 thb one way, trip takes more or less same taxi drive. But check with them via email. Then if you want sumting upscale & really posh go for the Penthouse limo!

What would a regular taxi cost from the airport to Pattaya?
Dude, the ride is only 1 hour and 15 minutes and you need a beverage service? Pick up some water out of Family Mart in the airport for 7 baht and keep going. Usually a taxi from BKK airport to Pattaya is 1000 baht + 60 baht tolls. People will try to get you for 1300. Since I started speaking a little Thai I have been getting them for 900 all in by jokingly telling them I am Thai while showing my Thai drivers license, and saying the numbers in Thai.
I say: Pattaya tao rai khrap?
They say: One thousand three hundred baht.
I say: (raising voice) MAI DAI! (can not) Bad roi, na? (800, right?)
They say: Neung pun (1000).
I say: Gao roi thuk yang, pah! (900 everything, let's go)
They say: Pah. (let's go) and get out of the car to open the trunk.
From Pattaya to the airport it is 800 baht + 60 baht tolls. If you flight arrives between 7am & 5pm you can take the bus (http://www.belltravelservice.com/) that will take you right to your hotel for 200 baht. Likewise if your flight departs between 12pm and after (last bus from Pattaya at 5pm) you can use this option as well.

Pattaya in 2011
Guys,
I'm planning on visiting Pattaya in October 2011. I last visited 5 years ago and prices were around 1000-1500 for LT. Can anyone advise on what the prices and quality is like these days? I realise prices are up, the same hotel I used is even up by 35%.
Thanks!

Soi 6 and then some
So I'm looking for some serious feedback on the seediest and down & dirty bars on Soi 6.
In late June I had a fair time with a girl at a short-time place called Sexy in the City, which had a couple of lookers. The price was 700 baht for the girl. 300 for the room, one hour. Regret to say that I forgot her name, but her getup was that she was wearing a baseball hat. 23 years old (wouldn't know that she had a child) , fabulous smile and amazingly pearly white teeth. BUUUUT be warned about this place, and perhaps much of Soi 6, and that is bars that mix real girls and LBs. As we chatted inside the bar (all of the available girls were touting out front, as seems to be the custom on Soi 6).
While chatting with the girl I suggested that there was another girl outside who looked great and might make a good threesome partner. So my girl exited and summoned a completely different, um. Thing. A LB hopped up on meth. The LB gave the girl (fortunately not me) a rough slap on the shoulder when I immediately sent him on his way, to which my friend just laughed. Within a couple minutes, the true object of my affection entered the bar on the arms of another punter. Oh well.
Upstairs, the room was fairly clean and the sex standard but enjoyable enough that I considered meeting the girl for dancing later on. But by 2 a. M. I was pretty tired, so didn't show. I did remark to the girl that she was exceptionally attractive and could make more money working at a Walking Street gogo. Her reply was something to the effect that she thought that dancing topless was disgusting. Go figure.
I have not posted on that Patts trip but have come to the personal conclusion that hiring the girls for overnight was in general a waste. Now this is true the world over, unless you say, snag a semipro Filipina in Hong Kong, but unless you are a vampire and go to sleep at 9 a. M, you will be in nothing but bother. Only one in three of my LTs (barfines from Walking Street gogos) worked out as agreed (boom boom, sleep, wake and boom boom, breakfast and bye-bye) , and this was a 28 year old from Cassynovy who was all over me like I was a rock star. A hostess from Cave Bar as well as a girl from Super Baby were true pains in the ass. The Super Baby girl had wanted me to pay upfront in the bar, which I wisely refused. Back at the hotel she watched TV while I slept. At the time of my constitutionally provided boom boom she refused and said that I pounded her too long the night before, about the same time she insisted that I buy her food from room service. As a breakfast buffet for two was part of my hotel, I informed her that I would not be spending extra money but that she could join me for breakfast. She refused, so I sent her packing with the ST fee of 2000 baht, far too generous in retrospect.
That was my last piece in Thailand. Fortunately, a couple hours before barfining the Super Baby girl I had mind-blowing sex upstairs at Nui's Club on Walking Street. Mam, short orange-ish hair. 26 or so. I pleasured her with DATY that triggered multiple orgasms. Made her VERY happy, and she repaid the favor. I went through the checklist positions and as I got into position for the agreed-upon CIM, I exploded with a porn-flick quality showing (hair, eyes, poooor girl). Her response was to laugh with hilarity. A real sweetheart!
Soooo, the long story is that short seems to be a better option in Patts, IMHO.
I know seedy and dirty is appealing but when you add ugly to the mix is it still appealing?
There's more ugly on Soi 6 now for sure, and more fat too. But if you're willing to keep trolling up and down the soi (though it does get a little embarrassing) sooner or later you can usually find something nice. And if not, well, just walk up Saai 2 to the soapies.
Red Point has declined sharply in the last year or two. And there's an especially nasty mama-san behind the bar who likes to insult farang in Thai, assuming they won't understand. Last time I told her exactly what I thought of that, and haven't been back since.
For consistent down-and-out sleaze, it's hard to beat My Friend You these days. But there's a reason they keep those rooms so dark.
