Cost of good hotels and good restaurants are at European levels. The fact that, as you report, recently Plaza Reloy has been flooded by cheaper girls from Venezuela simply means that, for above average looking girls, one could pay 150 k instead of 200 k, or 300 k instead of 400 k for some overnight (except exceptions and rare findings, 100 k it's for one shot in a crap hotel and with a girl who you would not take to a classy restaurant with you). It's good, but still way more expensive than elsewhere in Colombia.

I avoid restaurants on Av. San Martin, except Carbon de Palo. They are mass tourist places and the quality is middle-low. If one decides to invest so much money to entertain himself in Cartagena, no question about where to go for the night: classy restaurants in the Centro. High quality and ambient. Try Cuzco in company of a lovely lady (but if she does not look just out of La Dolce Vita, or it would be embarrassing).

[/QUOTE]I airbnb at about $60 to $80 a night in Bocagrande. Brand new building. Immaculate. Balcony facing the beach. You just have to shop around. Most meals in Avenida San Martin are less than 30 k per person.

With airbnb you can find immaculate apartments in Medellin for half that. And also good places to eat in Medellin for 20 k. Now compare the rates of the Sheraton / Hilton in Medellin with the Hilton in CTG.

A classy restaurant in Centro of CTG will not cost 30 k, but 50 USD. And of course the quick food places in Av. San Martin are cheap!

If one wants to pursue the cheapest, move out of Centro towards Castillo. Cheaper and cheaper.

However, anyone can find a place that suits personal tastes, in Medellin as in Cartagena.

I still enjoy Cartagena and stay in contact with friends there, but have been spending more time in various other parts of the country. Colombia is such a beautiful and diverse country, as your know.

While it's not the Waldorf Astoria or the Ritz Carlton, I've always found it to be a relaxing and enjoyable spot that hit all the important checklist items for me.

I've only been once to Sao Paolo and I'd say it was always on offer. In Colombia I've had chicas agree to it but chicken out when it came time to (I'm a bit on the wider side so I don't blame them).

Looking forward to my trip now (except for the warm weather part, God knows you get plenty of that living in Miami and you get tired of it pretty quickly, everytime you spend more than 5 minutes outside you feel like you have to shower again. Fresh / light jacket weather is the best).

Anyways will be in CTG for work starting Wednesday until Sunday this week. Staying at the Hyatt with an ocean front suite (work pays for it). Any recommendations? The square is not that big, you will surely see them.

As promised here is the 2nd part of my report. I will go over La Dolce Vita, Elektra, The Beach.

La Dolce Vita. La Dolce Vita is a bar with all working girls. It's a nice atmosphere and can be fun and lively especially on weekends. They play good music, a lot of reggaeton and Latin music which I enjoy and the girls like as well, and its more of a lounge atmosphere which I like, as opposed to Elektra which is more of a club atmosphere. The girls are all different shapes and sizes and you should be able to find one that suits your taste. Another pro is that they have a washroom you can use free of charge, unlike the public bathroom by the clock tower which charges a small fee. I only pulled one girl from LDV, it was actually my first night in LDV. I sat down ordered a beer and observed the talent. A cute flaquita girl approached me first and was really nice, good conversation, cute face, but I let her go as I am into big booty curvy types. A few minutes later I spot my target. The biggest booty in Cartagena I would see all week. Nice thick curvy body, and cute face. I approach her and we start to talk, very cool chick, and speaks very good English. We pretty much spend all night together dancing and talking, having a good time. I let her know that I am not interested in taking anyone home tonight and that I just wanted her number so that I can message her tomorrow (I already had a nice Venezuelan girl from the clock tower plaza before coming to LDV, so I was straight for the night, didn't need another pop). In total I think I bought her 2 drinks, plus my beers. I can't remember how much I spent, that night (should have wrote this report earlier LOL), but I think the beers were around 12000 COP, the girls cocktails were around 18000 to 20000 COP if I remember correctly. So I think I spent about 88000 COP. Which is about $30 usd. Which IMO is not bad for a great night out drinking and dancing with a beautiful girl with an amazing body. The next day I message her on whatsapp. We decide to meet for dinner at 7 pm in front of my apartment. After dinner we go back to my apartment for some fun. Great girl, good conversation and amazing sex. Very GFE. Give her 200,000 COP and she's happy. She leaves my apartment around 1030 pm and I get ready to go out. Got to love Cartagena.

Elektra. Elektra is the spot to go to after all the other bars close. I suggest not going to Elektra until 2 am or later. You can get good deals at Elektra, since if you think about it, this is the girl's last chance to get some business for the night. You just have to be smart, and have some game. On my last night in Cartagena I picked up a beautiful Venezuelan girl. It was funny because I had met her on the beach a few days before and I got her number there, but I never ended up following through and using it. At first I didn't recognize it was her until she smiled at me, and I was like "Oh, it's you!" - and at that moment it was target acquired LOL. It was around 230 and I ask her how much to come back to my place. She tells me 400.000 for the night. I tell her I'll give her 200.000 and she quickly agrees. We grab another drink at the bar before we go. Back at the apartment she was the most GFE girl I had. Amazing passionate sex. Before we started she even asked me if I wanted a massage. Of course I say yes, so she proceeds to give me a really nice massage for around 20-25 minutes or so. After the massage I joke around with her that I'm relaxed now and could fall asleep LOL. Maybe he could tell that I wan't the type of person to be hustled, or maybe he was just a nice guy. I dunno, but my experience with Samir was very good. He is actually the one who approached the Venezuelan girl to come sit with me so that I could get her number (The girl that I met on my last night in Elektra). I don't remember exact prices anymore (sorry!) but I remember them being very reasonable. I tipped Samir 15000 COP (aprox $5 usd) for basically looking after me for 4-5 hours and he seemed happy. He got me a cabana where I can sit and watch the girls, 6 beers, a bottled water, and helped me get a chicas number. Also took me to the washroom like 3 times so I didn't have to pay the 1000 COP to use the bathroom. Very nice guy, and his English was decent. So if you go to the beach I would recommend him.

That's pretty much it for my report. Thanks to everyone for the valuable information that made my trip such a success. If I think of anything else I'll post it. Looking forward to my next Colombia trip, probably sometime next year to Medellin. Had a great time in Cartagena, it's a beautiful place.

Tickets for Cartagena were super expensive. Keep in mind I was buying my tickets days before traveling. Round trip ticket to CTG was $1200+. Barranquila tickets were $650 round trip so I did that. Ubered from Barranquilla for 200 k. I was with my buddy so we split that. Took about an hour and a half to get to CTA and was a beautiful ride. Actually amazing views of everything the entire ride to CTG. Fincas, apartments, countryside, and Ocean views. I was super happy we chose to fly into Barranquilla and ubered to CTG. Saved a couple hundred bucks by doing that.

Checked into Morros city. 41st floor top floor of the building. 80 $ a night. I was informed that they completely changed security and management personnel for the simple fact that they were letting people bring up girls. Was pretty disappointing but I had been talking to a girl and I had registered her into the apt so she was allowed up. My buddy on the other hand didn't register a girl so he was pissed.

Step out every night around 11 pm dressed ready to go. Would find girls at the tower every night and head toward a bar or club. Would hit 2-3 bars or clubs every night with these girls and get at least a bottle at every place. Our choice of drink always ended up being Johnnie Walker Black label or Ron Medellin. We would hit bars and clubs like LDV, Tu Candela, ISIS, Electra, Space, and La Santa. We would start with a bar every time with the girls and move towards clubs. Electra and Space were awesome. Have been to both of them in the past but I def enjoyed them the most this last time plus we partied hard and had fun with our girls. Plus I was with my buddy this time and that made a huge diff Everyday around 4-5 am we would head to LA SANTA. La Santa was my favorite club of all of them and by far the most expensive. By the time we got to La Santa every night we were wrecked, so walking in there with beautiful girls and partying hard till 7 am was always an amazing time. Not sure what it was but we looked forward to la Santa every night. Plus I had a contact over there that treated us really well. VIP everything and first night when the party was getting good they started to pass out Red Johnnie Walker Hats and that was one of the best nights. I remember there was always a ton of gorgeous women everywhere. Everyone was partying with tusi and the music and lights were awesome.

Girls were always 200 k-400 k for the whole night. Beautiful 20-24 years that partied with us from 10 pm - 7 am and then either a quick hotel or the apartment. Morros City gave us a problem every time we tried to get them up. The last night my buddy got a girl past security because she had a similar looking wrist band and they went right to the elevators.

Tinder was solid. Got Tinder passport 2-3 weeks before my trip and talked to a bunch of nice girls and met up with a couple.

This by far was my best trip. Lots of partying lots of girls. We were there for 4 days and didn't hit the pool or beach once. LOL. Party to sleep and eat all day, go out at 10-11 pm. Repeat. I feel bad for my buddy that didn't get to see anything in Cartagena besides the clubs and girls but he didn't mind. He had a great time. We both agreed this last time was the best trip we've ever taken. Withdrawing from CTG right now and plan to get back out there within 3 months. I am considering staying elsewhere. You can def find girl friendly places. Just have to look.
