There is little doubt GS is a seldom visited area by divers and mongers. I've met many girls from there and suspect it is an awesome place to meet girls. What is likely lacking are nice facilities or Western style places to meet them.

I think Cebu offers a great combination of M&D. You can daytrip to Bohol, or less than 30 minutes banca ride from Mactan Hinutugan Island reserve (just South of Olango) offers frequently great dive conditions (though it gets crowded especially on weekends).

I am interested in Baguio, in northern Luzon, and I am asking others to share some information. So as not to be accused of not doing my homework, I looked backwards in the "Other Areas" thread for about 18 months. Less than a year ago there was a report about prostitutes in a big park in Baguio and, in October 2007, another board member asked for information specifically on mongering in Baguio. The later contributor received no response that I could find.

Indeed, I am interested in mongering, too, especially of the non-pro type. In addition, I have broader interests in possibly longer-term relationships and their availability for an older Caucasian American, as well as in vacationing and retirement possibilities. Does anyone have any information?

The diving is Puerto Galera is terrific, as is the diving in Anilao in Batangas, which is just across the water from PG. This is not the greatest season for diving here however, as we've had heavy rains and the water is not as clear as it is normally. In any case, I can't see any reason for going to Gen San for either diving or chasing women. In the latter case, there are a couple of KTVs, with acceptable women, but it's sure not worth the trip there to go visit these places. I'd compromise on Davao, rather than Cebu for the simple reason that I think it's a nicer city than Cebu, though the diving off of Mactan is admittedly better. However, there are about a dozen decent dive sites just off the coast of Davao and it's easier to get to them than it is in Cebu, where the boat rides are longer and you basically have to get out to Mactan before you can consider diving. Here, I just toss my stuff in my car, take a ten minute ride to the pier, hope on a boat, and I'm in the water within 45 minutes to an hour after leaving my house.

I have not been to Baguio, however I have heard from several locals that due to the high altitude it is much cooler there.

As far as a LTR I would recommend filipinaheart.com. Just search for women that live in this city and I am sure you will find hundreds. When you find one that you are interested in you can ask her basic info about the city. Etc. Also, you are bound to get pay for play offers so maybe you can ask some questions of those girls where they "work" at.

Welcome to the board!

Baguio is not like any city in Philippines. It is a very prosperous place with a large Chinese Filipino population. In all my visits (as recently as last October), I have never seen any SW or beggars for that matter. Then again I'm not hanging around Burnham park at night!

Most of the girlie bars are KTV style. The centerpiece of the downtown core is SM mall, which has many eateries and bars with pick-up potential. There are also numerous music cafes and discos in the area.

Flight service to Baguio has recently stopped, so the only way to get there is by ground transportation. All in all, it is a great place to get some cool fresh air and has a unique charm to it!

I spent a week in Baguio this past summer, and what the other members have said is totally true. I enjoyed the town more than anywhere else, but for different reasons. Its by no means a AC but there is tons of normal girl potential. I was picked up off the street bya college girl there, and the rest was history.

I will say however that its not really a party town. But of all the places that I've been so far in the Phils (not that thats a lot yet) Baguio is where I would be willing to move to.

RTFF, but still have some questions. I'll be visiting Boracay soon. Unfortunately, I'll be accompanied by the wifey, so picking up a girl at Cocomangos or Summerplace or one of the other bars & taking her back to my hotel room is obviously out of the question. I've just been there. All along White Beach you will find many massages: many overprised (300 is standard in other places in Philippines): some on the beach itself (in the sand that is), some in a small place on the sandy road along the beach and also some upperclass Spa's.

If you're aming for the 2nd: I've tried some and did not get any extra's offered. Forget it, I'd say.

In the evening there's girls offering themself at the most popular venues round Station 2.

Lots were gathered round the "Mini Eiffeltower". Just look for it.

Don't know where you need to go to without the wife noticing, as the beach itself is heavily guarded by police.

I will be traveling from Manila to Puerto Galera, specifically El Galleon Small LaLaguna. I really don't want to get up early enough to make the 0800 Sikat bus after a night partying. And there are plenty of other ferries to PG on the schedule, no?

The hotel offers private transport but it's outrageous: $310 round trip (for up to 6 but we are only 2).

It seems a good option would be to get a driver to take us to the Batangas Pier at our leisure (say 1200 departure!) and catch the next ferry.

Anyone suggest where I can look for such a service and what I should expect to pay? $50 one way for the car seems about right (guess). What do you think?

Finally is it better to get the boat to PG or Sabang? Sabang looks closer to El Galleon but there's no pier. And I have 2 heavy bags (dive gear) and carryon. SO I was thinking to go to PG and get a cab.
