Can someone tell me how far down Soi 11 Citadines is from Sukhumvit? Is it much furthur away from Suk. Road than Grand President?
I'm looking at Citadine on Soi 11 and Soi 8 and I want to choose the one that is an easy walk to Sukhumvit.
Rooms look a little small but they have a 2 bedroom suite which is perfect for two mongers to share.

Otherwise why not putting the reference contact for those nationals from those countries.
At the end of the day, exclusivity granted or not, they should facilitate the bookings to keep the rooms busy.
How do they handle a indian or a middleeastern resident somewhere else?

thanks for any info you can provide.[/quote]i stayed in citadine on soi 8 last week. it was ok for a one night stay but i did find the room to be small. i stayed in a standard room. it was a fair hike to sukhumvit.
i think i saw the one on soi 11 last night, right down near where the road swings left to qbar. for me too far from sukhumvit.
i'm staying now at adelphi suites on soi 8 and can't find a single thing wrong yet. close to sukhumvit, high speed internet, breakfast, big modern room, gf. paying around 3200 per night.

Can anybody confirm if Centrepoint on Wireless Road is still guest friendly and good value? Is it a little too far from Nana? What about their other locations?

The two Centrepoint's I've stayed at are GF. I would not say they are value.. there are much better value for the baht out there then centrepoint. I find them king of high in cost for what they give you actually.

I would second that, not good value I would say unless you get a special discount. I am staying at Centrepoint myself as it's arranged through the corporate account of my prime contractor, they pay for it (corp volume discount about 40%) and I have no choice.

I got a rate of B1750 through Agoda, which seemed reasonable.
I'll keep an eye out for other options.

OK that is a good rate. The rates they try to offer to travel agents normally at that location is 3400 for Studio and 4700 for 1 bedroom. Those are per night non-comissionable rates... before the world economy crash and the airport take over. I can get better TA rates at many other locations around BKK then what they offered in the past. But they gave me some free nights to try them out and I was not impressed.
Friends, I am planning a short break to Bangkok in mid-March and wanted to try the new hotel Ibis Nana at Soi 8. Could anyone give me some information on the said place, ie., is it girl-friendly, etc.

I ended up booking the adelphi on soi 8 2750baht per night.
Read a lot of reviews about this place, all of them good.
Does anyone know whether the 1000THb fee at the Westin still applies?
Adelphi seems like a good choice.
For this trip I was thinking of trying the lower end Budget Hotel and whilst surfing through the AirAsia website, I saw this promotion for Ibis Nana (Soi 8), thus my question to the members on this forum as to any feedback pertaining to the hotel and its policies on "casual" guest(s) and other services and facilities, given the fact that it is a new place.

normad2020[/QUOTE]Yea I've been looking at the IBIS Nana Hotel too. It says will MOST LIKELY opening in March 2009. I even tried to enter a few dates and shows nothing. Looks like this hotel is going to open in April then, pehaps even later. =( Did anyone call to confirm?
