I don't mind paying more than my share as I realize that money means less to me than it does to them. This is especially true for important things like health and education of the kids.

What I objected to was their attitude that I was their walking ATM machine and the complete lack of any show of appreciation for what I did for them.

That was with an Indonesian. I have had various Filipina GFs. My impression has always been that a couple of hundred dollars a month to the parents for the Utang Na Lub would pretty much take care of family obligations. There is no social security in the Philippines, so this is the only hope for many parents. Ergo the positive attitude towards older foreigners marrying their daughters (compared by one forum poster to the family's fattened pigs). I have met dozens of really nice Filipinas who would do anything to marry a foreigner. The ones from the Provinces are probably the most faithful. Anyway, this has been discussed a great deal on the Philippine threads. Its also a lot cheaper living there than in the other countries you mentioned. And finally, English is almost universally spoken. IMHO you should consider taking a short trip to Cebu and see how things go.

Any opinions on best EU or FSU countries for LTR? Not looking for the 'feminist' countries, more like the woman will do what you tell her to do every day!

In Western Europe girl do better in high school and university than men. Just traditional roles persist in choosing careers (e. G. You will find more men doing car mechanics and ladies as hair dressers).

I have never been East. Was hoping it was more typical of 3rd world countries over there. Wanted to see where everyone thought the best LTR in the FSU was. They can't all be a pain in the ass!

He has two choices, marry a middle class or upper class girl in one of these countries or STFU about being looked at as the provider / husband because he is a Westerner and has the deepest pockets, so what does he expect?
