Trip Report – Pretoria, South Africa

This report describes my perspective on the situation in Pretoria, South Africa covering a 6 week period during February. March, 2010. Based on the time I spent in Pretoria, the following summary covers the information most likely to be of interest to like minded gentlemen such as your selves.
Pretoria is a city located in the northern part of Gauteng Province, South Africa. Pretoria is 35 miles northeast of Johannesburg, 30 miles from Johannesburg International Airport, and 437 miles from Durban. It is one of the country's three capital cities, serving as the executive (administrative) and official de facto capital; the others being Cape Town, the legislative capital, and Bloemfontein, the judicial capital. Pretoria is contained in the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality as one of several constituent former administrations (including Centurion and Soshanguve), and therefore sometimes referred to as Tshwane. The population exceeds a million people, the bulk of whom are government officials. The city centre is laid out in typical city fashion on a grid with wide roads, making getting around fairly simple.
Known as the Jacaranda City for all the purple blossom-bedecked trees, which line its thoroughfares, Pretoria is a lovely, quiet city. When in bloom, the jacarandas throw a blanket of mauve over this, slightly, more sedate city. Even so, Pretoria boasts superb shopping centers, museums, art galleries and restaurants. Although it is physically close to Johannesburg, Pretoria has a totally different feel to South Africa's commercial capital: it's quieter and calmer, and people stop to chat and smile.
Like Washington and Canberra, Pretoria is largely a forgotten capital city. It is, however, the executive and administrative capital of South Africa. Its grand buildings (including many foreign embassies) give the city an unexpectedly dignified and stately presence. As the academic, scientific and technological capital of South Africa, the city has the most highly developed technology and research sector in Africa. Four universities and a number of scientific institutes are located there.
Atteridgeville, Mamelodi, and Soshanguve are the historically "Black townships" surrounding Pretoria where the majority of the Black African citizens of the Tshwane Metropolitan area still live. Atteridgeville is 7 miles, Mamelodi is 15 miles, and Soshanguve, Ga-Rankuwa, Winterveldt and Temba are about 25 miles from downtown. Many residents work in Pretoria, traveling by bus, train, taxi, or driving personal vehicles. Lenasia, about 10 miles south of Pretoria, is home to many of the area's Asian citizens. Each of these communities forms part of the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality.
Based on my experience, Pretoria is not a great place to monger, but women are available if you are so inclined. If you like women of color, there are some beautiful options available. South African women come in all shapes and sizes and include African (Xhosa, Zulu, Ndebele, Sotho, Shangaan and Vendaulu, Tswana and Venda), Colored (mixed White and Black descent), Indian/Asian and Caucasian. There are also other African women from Malawi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Swaziland that are on the game and available, as well as women from China and Thailand. Depending on your taste, most are available at reasonable prices that range from 50. 00 (low end black African brothel and/or street walker) up to 1, 000. 00 ZAR (for Caucasians). Based on an average exchange rate during the time I was there of 7. 40 ZAR to 1. 00 USD, prices range from less that 6. 75 USD up to 135. 00 USD, depending on the category of women you are looking for, the services provided, the length of time you want to spend with them, and how much you are willing to pay. I found that in general most African women love sex, and I had some great sessions here. Service was always good and included BBBJ, sex with a condom, and multiple positions and pops. Almost all provided CIM, and many did anal (Greek). Overall, the sex was good, and a lot of fun. However, for the same price, the Chinese were average at best, but could not compare on a service delivery level with their African counterparts. During my time in Pretoria I only sampled African and Chinese women, and never tried the Indian or Caucasian women that were available, mostly due to my personal preferences.
When mongering in Pretoria, the first thing to learn is the geography of the area since the women that are advertising their services in the local newspapers or online, do so by location. Pretoria is a relatively small area but is designated by the various neighborhoods/suburbs that compose it. On a macro level it comprises Pretoria North, East, West and Central (City Center). On a micro level it consists of numerous areas including Arcadia, Brooklyn, Capital Park, Erasmuskloof, Faerie Glen, Gezina, Hatfield, Lynnwood, Menlo Park, Menlyn, Montana, Menlyn, Menlo Park, Moreleta Park, Muckleneuk, Queenswood, Riviera, Silverton, Sunnyside, Waterkloof, Centurion and Waterkloof Ridge, just to name a few. Newspaper and Online Classifieds
The local newspapers are full of classified ads for adult services. The English-language newspapers that are published daily in South Africa include The Star, This Day, Sowetan, Pretoria News, Business Day, and Citizen (in the Johannesburg-Pretoria area). There is also a popular Afrikaans language newspaper (Beeld) with an adult services section in the classifieds. Since I was working in Pretoria, I mostly relied on the classified ads for adult services in the Pretoria News. This newspaper was available at my hotel, but I also utilized the online classifieds at [url]http://classifieds. Iol. Co. Za/home.php[/url]. Just click on Adult Ads, verify that you are 18 years or older, and under publication select the newspaper you want to check. I used this system for about 50% of my contacts. There's always the element of surprise since you are contacting a provider on a sight unseen basis, but that's also the nature of the game. The prices for African women quoted were 250. 00 ZAR (34. 00 USD) for a half-hour, and 300. 00 ZAR (40. 50 USD) for an hour. A 2-hour session was usually 500. 00 ZAR (67. 50 USD). The price for Chinese women (listed under Chinese massage) were 300. 00 ZAR (40. 50 USD) for an hour.
I also used the well known [url]http://www.Sextrader. Co. Za[/url] and made a number of selections from the Pretoria and Midrand section for another 40% of my liaisons. Again, this site has photos of the women advertising, and for the most part they are accurate. There were only two occasions where I showed up and the photos did not resemble the actual person. My experience with all the providers I selected from this site was very positive. The prices quoted by African women contacted from this site ranged from 300. 00 ZAR (40. 50 USD) to 500. 00 ZAR (67. 50 USD) for an hour. However, I only selected women in the 300. 00 ZAR per hour category. The price quoted for Chinese women was also 300. 00 ZAR (40. 50 USD) for an hour.
It should be noted that many women advertise in the newspapers and also online at the site mentioned above, and/or other web sites. The newspaper and online contact numbers are usually different, but that seems to be the system.
The remaining 10% of my meetings were with several non-pro women that I met online via Adult Friend Finder (AFF), or from liaisons described below.
A general comment: Although I like the variety of different women, I have a tendency to stick with someone that I like, am comfortable with, and who provides good service. As a result, I ended up spending a lot more time with just a few women, when it was possible to hook-up with a lot more simply by making a few telephone calls. Again this was a personal preference.
Non-Pro Women
I was able to hook-up with several women that I met during the course of shopping, dining out, and just having a beer in a pub. These included African women that worked in the Hatfied area around the University of Pretoria. Three worked as waitresses in several different bars in Hatfield Square, one was a cashier at a McDonald's restaurant, and one was a cashier at a Pick and Pay supermarket. It was basically just flirting a bit, chatting them up, and giving them my number asking them to call/text me if they wanted to get together. All of these were one time things in my hotel room, and although they never asked for money, I gave each of them 100. 00 ZAR (13. 50 USD) to cover their "taxi fare". None were stunners, but the sex was good and they seemed to enjoy their time spent with me. I had several opportunities for follow-up sessions but never managed due to work or other commitments.
I also had several "friends" that I had met previously while working in Botswana, Lesotho and Mozambique, and who came to visit me on some weekends.
Brothels
There are rumored to be several around Pretoria, but the only one that I was able to find was the Yellow Giraffe at the Capital Hotel on Church Street. Since it has a reputation for being a pretty rough place, I went there twice, but only during the afternoon. The selection of women varied, and there were never any stunners. Most of the women I saw there had clearly seen better days, and not so unexpected in a low budget place like this. The rates quoted were between 50. 00 (6. 75 USD) and 100. 00 ZAR (13. 50 USD) for a ST session. I went "upstairs" twice for a mediocre BBBJ/CIM, and paid 100. 00 ZAR each time. Note: This is not an easy place to find but it's located next to the Premier Hotel, and any taxi driver will know the location.
Street Walkers
Most of the women working on the street in Pretoria are concentrated in a rectangle area that is bordered by Hamilton Avenue and Farenden at the ends, and Pretorius and Schoeman on the sides. The side streets between Pretorius and Schoeman that include Leyds, Wessels, Johann, Beckett and Farenden usually have women along the corners. The corner of Pretorius and Wessels just down from the Sheraton, and the corner of Hamilton Avenue and Schoeman Street are the "sure thing, can't miss" for this type of action. I always found women at these locations, and if you drive up and stop, your car is usually swarmed by several women. I would just cruise by and if I liked the look of the woman, pulled over. Since they are often on both sides of Schoeman Street, and since it's a one-way street, you may have to circle around to check out the options on the opposite side. Several times I picked-up women here and took them to my hotel for a ST session. You have to negotiate, but for a BBBJ/CIM I never paid more than 100. 00 ZAR (13. 50 USD), and for a full house (BBBJ and sex with multiple positions) session, never more than 200. 00 ZAR (27. 00 USD), usually for about an hour.
Interestingly, you find both African and Caucasian women working on the street, but I only saw the Caucasian women around the Sheraton Hotel (corner of Pretorius and Wessels). Others may feel differently, but the security concerns in Pretoria, especially at night, prevented me from parking on any of the nearby side streets and doing the business in my car.
Strip Clubs
There are two strip clubs in Pretoria. The Teazers Club which is in North Pretoria (Montana), and the Flamingo Club (1333 Church St). I went twice to the Flamingo Club. The Flamingo is a full adult entertainment club including strippers and working girls. They have VIP rooms with private jacuzzis, and regular rooms without any frills. All the rooms have beds and are rented by the hour, not daily. The entrance fee is 50. 00 ZAR (6. 75 USD), and the first stripper comes on at 2000. Both times I was there, the strippers are on for 20 minutes each, but there's a break of 40 minutes between each set. During these breaks you are usually offered additional services include lap dances for 400. 00 ZAR (54. 00 USD) for 3 songs. The lap dances include the woman fully nude, rubbing against you up close and personal, with touching allowed except "down there". The rate for a private room with Jacuzzi that includes sex (called full house) is 600. 00 ZAR (81. 00 USD) for an hour. The food and drink prices are also very reasonable. Note: There are women who only do the lap dances, and others that provide full house services. On the two occasions that I was there were two Chinese women available for full house services, but the rest of the women working/available there were all Caucasians. No African women were working there.
My experience in Pretoria, South Africa is based on this 6-week visit. I was there for work and didn't have as much free time as I had hoped, so was unable to explore more options and venues than those described above.
