Most business and moto driver prefer usd or thai baht because riel is not a stale currency ,I carry 20 bht bill for moto driver One dollar usd is too much for short trip ,most business give you change in riel even they have usd on hand give you bull shit like no have .

I am going to visit Siem Reap and PP in Feb. My first time in Cambodia. Can anyone tell me the best flight to take from SR to PP? Is there just one airline flying that roure? I see Siem Reap airways. Any others?

It will be a good thing for boosted the tourism in Cambodia, avoiding the corrupted immigration officers operated at thai/Cambodian borders. But the big question is: the same visa for Thailand and Cambodia? Which mean 1 month to spend between Cambodia and Thailand? 1 months for visited 2 country. So few it can be ok for a short trip in angkor. But for the rest of the country?

Where is a good place to stay in PP that is close to action and is fairly nice. I don't mind paying 25-30 bucks for a decent place, etc. Will o nly be there two nights. Oh, close enough to museum, tour things, too. Thanks.

Check with Siem riep air but I recommended try the fast boat service up the tonle sap is a great trip 6hr and take the vip bus back 5 hr back to PP cost much less and you can see the country.

Hotels in PP, try Flamingos or Cara, I've stayed at both. I know a driver who's top notch, honest, trustworthy and knows every hoot and holler in the place.

If I was traveling from SR to PP, I'd take Bangkok air. It's a 45 min flight.

This will be my 5th trip to PP.Not new to PP but its still like a new toy to me. I've been around the track a few times,to the same places.

I would like to meet up with others while in PP to do al ittle barhopping and show around to other places.

I'll start this trip like this..

Anyway I know Pattaya and AC pretty well. As well as most you you do. But would like to meet up with others who know PP better than me.

Sihnoukville (12hour bus trip to pattaya) or boat to KO Kong and then to trat and onto Pattaya
Pattaya to BKK (Taxi 800bt)
BKK to manila Cebu pacific $90
Manila to AC. (Taxi & rabbit bus)

I dont know how you will get Sihanoukville to AC unless there is a boat?

I would do it later in the year, but i have to go skiing in Jan and FEB

Sounds like a friend of mine and I will be in PP and Snookyville same time as you. PM me or whatever if you want to catch up. Tried PM but you have shut off. Read my recent posts about SR they may help your visit there. Another friend who use to live in PP is giving me a whole list of places to be sure and check out while in PP.
