Found this other video (from 3 days ago) where this guy gives a walking tour of new joints where he claims the action is at, beginning at night.

I left him a comment requesting to make another video of these joints at night so that we can judge if it's worth it. In case he makes it I'll post it.

Nonetheless, for those who are Español impaired, jjj, he talks about all the joints that have been opening in this area, calle 70 and 3rd avenue, where all these hotels are located. You can see them, mostly 2 floors with music and action at night. This area is located in the Miramar section of la Habana.

Just in case someone is visiting now or in the near future, please check them out and let us know if these are really happening. He claims in the video these places get packed @ night.

I stayed in an Airbnb about 15 minutes walk east of that location and it was good there, lots of girls looking to hook up.

The cool thing about a lot of those little bars, with the second floor dance floors / bars is that many girls go there to dance and see what turns up. My favorite was a girl named Claudia, I saw her at one of these bar / dance floor places, just an amazing body and her dancing was sooooo enticing. Moves to make you hard before you even saw her with no clothes on. Wow. Anyway, I end up leaving after I finished my drink and snack, and I don't see her as I'm leaving, only the guy she arrived with. Lo and behold I get downstairs and there she was, waving me to come talk to her. She had seen me eyeballing her and wanted to know if I wanted to spend time with her. Uh, hell yes. Of course the security guy told her she couldn't be seen speaking to foreigners and trying to arrange a date, etc. No worries, we walk around to a different spot, negotiated a sum of $80, to include pounding her ass if I was interested in such a thing (I was) and we stopped at a little restaurant to pick up some beers and went back to my place for a good time.

Ended up walking back to 1 / 70 later and had a great conversation at a table with 3 girls, who wanted me to take all of them back to my place!

So yes, there are lots of girls out, some of the places play their music very loud, but it was a great time, much different than in Habana Vieja. A good plan would be to split time between the 2. Like 3 nights in central Habana, then 2 nights in Miramar.

Either way, definitely check it out, even if it's just one night. Great area, decent food at some of the places, very "meh" food in others, but the drinks are good and inexpensive and lots of girls out to take back to your place after dancing a little with them.

At the time there was no action whatsoever in this hood. Had to rent a car to get action in Habana vieja and Vedado / Malecon. That was were the action was back in the day.

From my 3 trips to Havana this year, I would say there are all types of girls, but most are going to fall in the light brown to dark brown categories. Not that there aren't white, white girls, but very few and far between.

But I would definitely check Badoo, get a profile going, change your location to Havana probably 2-3 weeks in advance of your trip, start spending time evaluating what's out there and you will also get a lot who will contact you directly. I see more lighter skinned girls on Badoo than I did in the streets.

Most all girls from Badoo are between $40-60, nearly all for 1-2 hours, or more, depending on how you get along with them once you get them in your room. Street girls I've found as low as $10, but I am skeptical as to what you'll get for anything lower than $30. Most super cheap ones look very "crackhead" like, missing teeth, bad skin, etc. No telling what's going on with them. I'd pay a little more and get something that at least looks better.

Lots of good choices on Badoo, too many almost!

Keep in mind that a lot of these girls don't have consistent internet. So 2 or 3 weeks might even be too much, depending on your goal. Sometimes I'd be chatting with a girl, then suddenly she'd be gone and wouldn't get back to me for a few days. Or, I collected some numbers and then when I arrived 3 weeks later, they didn't remember who I was.

If your goal is to have chicks waiting for you to land, I would suggest to make your profile no more than a week in advance of your trip.

Granted, it was very fun for me (married guy) to be chatting with these girls to begin with, so I didn't see it as a waste of my time at all. So if your goal is just to see what's available and to practice chatting some girls up in spanish, then go for it any time you want.

Music is all over the board. Lots of regaetton, of course, but a couple of places had a live drummer or other musician that was playing along with a recorded track. It was almost a karaoke type experience. Interesting to hear the live instruments mixed into a drum track and some recorded vocals. Anyway, good times. For whatever reason though, they play the shit so loud you can't hear a goddamn thing without the girl yelling into your ear. I guess that might be the 1 time that Google Translate would be better!

Seems like some of the places are notorious for blasting the music so loud as to cause damage to one's hearing.

I don't think it's that local girls can't talk to foreigners, of course they can, I think it was more that technically the pay for play activity is illegal and he didn't want her arranging services for money on the property of the bar / restaurant.

When we returned to 1st and 70th after our fun in the room, we went to a different club, met her brother, drank some beers and had a great time, no problems at all that she was interacting with me as a foreigner.

So more the negotiation of price for services was the problem, at that particular bar, with that security guy. Not a problem in other places.

However, they also can't screw around with tourists since tourism is such a huge part of their economy. So they hassle the girls instead. So girls are very aware of being seen talking to white male tourists.

Quick story. I was walking down the Prada boulevard with a girl one night and she slowly started to wander a little away from me. I didn't say anything and then noticed that there were 3 cops up ahead. She had put around 15 feet between us while still walking in the same direction and once we were well past the cops, she came back to walk next to me. Neither of us mentioned anything about it, but I knew what she was doing.

So, just be aware and respectful of the girls' situation. A little bit of discretion goes a long way.

But as others have said, prostitution is illegal, and sometimes the police enforce that, other times not so much, but all the time there may be shake downs for money. Day 1 - Arrival flight. Landing in the afternoon. The whole process at the airport, then taxi to the casa particular, sort out a few things, shower and off to dinner. It's Friday night, but there aren't many people actually. There are 3 or 4 couples of girls who are potential prey. I get a drink and start observing. A girl approaches me, but she doesn't give me any positive feelings. Instead, there's another girl who intrigues me a lot but doesn't take me into consideration despite looking at her insistently. In the end I manage to meet her gaze and get a smile out of her. I finish my drink, go to the bathroom and finally approach her. She's there with a friend, we sit at a table, I get a drink for both of us and we chat. The drinks become 2, but I still haven't recovered between travel tiredness and jetlag so I insist on leaving and in the end seeing me half asleep, she understands that it's time to go if she wants to complete the evening with gymnastics and get her reward! So we say goodbye to the friend and go to my house where we spend a good hour before saying goodbye.

Day 3 up to 10 - I'm leaving for a tour of other places on the island with other people. Not much to report that might interest you. The only occasion was in Trinidad, a very touristy town, with a small historic center that seemed lively even in the evening. Here, among restaurants, bars and souvenir shops, I noticed the presence of various signs with the words "Massages" at the entrances of some places, with young ladies sitting and waiting.
