Angeles City

A belated report of touring trip in July-August last year. I decided to avoid Manila and start from Angeles where I hoped to find a couple of suitable touring companions, of the female gender of course. At Aquino airport I couldn't resist the methods of my old backpacking days, avoided the rip off transport into the city, walked the 100 metres or so to the main road and caught the bus to the bus depot for a few centavos. A cramped, fetid, stifling journey followed which I vowed not to do again, at least on this trip.

I spent the first night at the selubrious Orchid and did the rounds of all the major night clubs, which just served to remind me how much I detested the late nights-sleep-half-the-day-away roundabout, well at least for more than a couple of days. In the end I found an LBFM at the poolside and restaurant area of the hotel, to keep me satisfied for the night.

I've often found that you can probably find the best girls more at the outskirts of these sorts of places away from the hurly-burly and nonsense of the main areas. In Pattaya I preferred to go 'hunting' around Jongtien and further afield and found some real gems, some well educated with good daytime jobs.

Thus began some hours of a walking tour. Around sunset I found a place, a hotel with no guests and very few foreigners, about an hours walk along Clark Road past the perimeter area. Well, it took about an hour after popping into every establishment along the way. There were two girls ('on duty' hostesses) wearing mini-skirted business style suits with jackets. They looked really good. One immediately invited me to games of pool. I found her fairly plain and coldish in manner while the other was very pretty, had an expressive face and personality, and beautiful smile, kind of very demure and feminine. She caught my eye occasionally from a distance with her beautiful flirtatious eyes and smile. Eventually I tired of the pool games and was invited to sit down on a cramped sofa between the two of them. The gorgeous one (Mariana or Mari) was immediately very GFE with body language and smile to match, while the other remained a sort of unresponsive cold fish (Beth). Soon of course my hand was running up Mari's thighs slowly creeping to her honey regions when she gently removed my hand with a coy smile and twinkle in her eye ('stop it I like it' sort of thing) , and smilingly whispered something to Beth. I was hooked.

Both girls were 22. I asked Mari how long she had been there and in an embarassed and shy way said two years. I realised the embarassment was because basically, like many of the girls here, she was seeking a foreign husband and a genuine life of marital bliss. With her looks and personality it was difficult to understand why she hadn't found one long ago. But she couldn't stand the degenerate hurly-burly and nonsense of the main night club and bar area where the action is, and where all the foreigners hang out.

Without delay I asked her if she was interested in an adventure touring trip with lots of outdoor activity: walking, hiking, swimming, snorkelling, diving, boating etc. I mentioned she might like to invite Beth along as well, to which she assented. They were best friends and I had the feeling that inviting Beth might fill in the communication and entertainment gaps which I might have trouble fulfilling at times.

Mari then pointed out a tall girl (about 5'8) , one of about eight 'off-duty' girls milling around, who was into the outdoors. I was immediately struck by this girl's (name Ana) very Euro looks and manner, statuesque, atheletic build, and elegant bearing. She had a great body with concommitant movement in other words. Her father had been a retired US naval officer and began his naval career on the USS Turner Joy of vietnam and Tomkin Bay fame (or infamy). After he died she and her brothers and sisters fell on hard times when her father's 'American family' stripped all his Philippino assets away. She was 23, well educated at International Schools and had a university degree at a reasonable university in Manila. She was taking a break from her job at a city bank. Then what was she doing here? To 'earn more money and support her younger brother and sister through university'. She showed me pictures of her family, and of a high-flying American lawyer boyfriend who financially supported her.

So she was well educated, spoke exceptionally fluent English, and could hold conversations of some breadth and depth, which made a change.

I asked Mari if she minded Ana coming along and Mari said she got on quite well with her so it was all good. After paying over the fine and costs for the week ahead and arrangements for the balance on return, Mari and Beth returned with me to my hotel. Mari immediatley fulfilled her promise of being an excellent GFE and was sexually wonderfully proactive. Next day we did some shopping as Mari wanted to buy some suitable clothes. I made sure they brought along their business suits which I found sexy. She had really good taste and chose clothes that made her look good, including a couple of thong bikinis and panties etc. We then set about hiring a car and a driver and picked up Ana.

My friend I totally agree with you. North American woman don't do anything foe me either. At least 99% of them don't. Let me say the word moo with an attitude comes to my mind. At least where I live. Sexy is not part of there makeup, Some can be nice but I don't want to fu*k nice. We are visual people so let the visual part be a big part of what we like.

Some of my friends get it about Asian woman and other don't have a clue. Same as you circumstances. I have a friend who is a little older and his girl friend is older yet. I keep trying to explain to him to come with us on one of the adventures. He hasn't been able to tear himself away from her. So last week he says she doesn't do anything for him and she goes to bed at 8PM. Sex maybe once a month but she just does it because I want to. I do hope he gets to see the world before he is dead. I bet he doesn't though.

The asian woman from the PI are especially GFE although I like the Thais and Chinese. I to feel very comfortable with the ladies of PI. I need to explore more in other countries though to offer other remarks.

I do like the South American chicas as well. The visual and sexualness can be outstanding. There attitude is better than N. A. Woman even when you know you are getting used. But when I go there I go to get used, at least a little and I do the same for them.

I was married to a Chinese lady and am currently living with a Thai lady. Great sex with both the Chinese and Thai lady. I have been to China several times but have yet been able to work in a trip to Thailand. I am latino so I understand and been with my share of latino women. I still prefer Asian ladies. There is something magical about boarding that plane and heading to Asia. I may try Thailand sometime this year, in the meantime I am headed for a 4 week trip to AC and Subic Bay either in May or June. My very best friend in the world has been married for about a million years. He and I had great times when we were in our twenties. I have been talking to him about the PI for the longest time because I know he needs a change and some excitement in his life. I'm coming into a little extra cash soon and am seriously thinking about paying for his trip. I would really love to see the expression on his face when he arrives in AC and enters his first bar. Should be fun.

Was reading some sites on AC and came across something very promising, a Brazilian Churrascaria at the Holiday Inn Clark on Mimosa Road. I am a huge fan of churrascaria and it is one thing I miss now that I no longer travel to Brazil.

Hopefully someone that has been to the churrascarias in Brazil has also been to this one and can make a comparison. Is it authentic Brazilian bbq? Many types of beef? Current price?

All of the reviews that I read are out-of-date so I cannot go on prices there. Of course their website (

Thais are ok once you get to communicate with them, even in a limited way.

Chinsese (at least the ones I've been with) were for the most part, mechanical and materialistic.

I have got to say that the quality of fine young women in AC is higher than I've ever seen before. Damn.

Surprising conversation: I was in a Diamond area bar and was talking to the gal about her work. She said she had worked there for only two weeks. Okay, I've heard that before. Then she follows up by saying,"My mother wanted me to. My father too." Damn!

Another bizarre thing: Hooked up with a petite 19yr old with hair to her waist. Not stunningly beautiful, but great legs and some nice curves relative to her small size. She gets a lot of stares. Especially from me. Anyway, she's on the phone and she mentions to me it is "mamma". As she talks I overhear conversation about bar fines and the fact that she is in my room, my nationality, etc. I assume it is the mama-san from the bar. No. It's her mother. Damn!

I don't usually spend long periods of time in AC, but this trip I did. One thing that I figured out, but must be obvious to some of the others, is that hotels, esp. Good ones, are more likely to be booked on the weekends. I assume that expats from Manila come to AC for the weekends.

Cocktails on the top of ABC hotel are 290 pesos. It's almost worth it but they have too many staff up there who tend to stare at you as they wait for your next order. They also are great at chatting noisly among themselves to the point that you can't enjoy the music being played. Not far from ABC Hotel is another rooftop br / restaurant above the small supermarket (Jay jays?). At night you will see a blue sign TUGS on the top. It's more Filipino style, but a hell of a lot cheaper than ABC. X

On my first night in the Philippines, I will be arriving in Angeles at probably 1 or 2 am. Is this too late for me to do anything on that first day or will I still be able to go out and bar fine or go clubbing? Also is it safe out that late at night?

Quite a few bars stay open until 4am and at least one, Doll House, is open 24 hours. These places are on the main strip called Fields. The only danger is that most of the really hot ones will have been barfined by that late hour. X.

Lots of bars open till 3 or 4 am and a few 24 hours.

Relatively safe.

I go out all hours of the night and very little problems.

More police out there lately with the new mayor s program.

Just keep aware. And stay to the main areas.

Similar story. I stayed with a girl for a few days. She was a local. I called her up to see if she was coming over that night. She said yes and said her mother was coming with her to meet me. I thought,"No good can come from this," and asked her to leave mom home.

Once I got to AC we chatted again. She wanted to meet right away. I suggested lunch in the mall. She wanted to bring her mom to meet me. I resisted. She insisted on McDo on Fields / Mac, and bringing her mom. Finally I agreed to buy them lunch there. When I got to Mcdo they were sitting there. The girl, who had been on cam an hour before, and an older woman, too old to be her mom. An older aunt maybe, or grandma. Almost no talk while we waited in line and got our food, then sat and ate. I wondered if there would be any discussion of anything. I remember laughing to myself that I might just finish my food and leave, without talking to them. As they finished their meal, they spoke softly to each other in tag. The older lady stood up and grabbed my shirt sleeve and walked away. I walked after her, we stopped about 10 feet from the girl.

Old lady: she like you want to stay you.

Me: its fine.

Old lady: she need some help.

Me: with what.

Old lady: she need some peso [old lady now appearing to be the pimp]

Me: how much.

Old lady: any you can for her.

Me: maybe I can help.

Old lady: o-o.

And that was it. The old lady walked out the front door of McDo and didn't look back. I kept the girl about 24 hours, banging her 3 times. Took her barhopping (she was embarrassed by the bars). Bought her dinner and breakfast. She loved McDo. Put p1000 in her purse and sent her on her way walking down fields. Everyone seemed happy. We didn't chat online after that and she didn't txt.

Few days later on her YM avatar message: "I love you Henry! I'm getting marry tomorow!" There was a pic of her and an older white guy (about 60-ish). Wonder if Henry had any idea someone triple-banged his fiancee a few days before his wedding? Ahh, the memories.

I'm planning to stay in Makati for six days in April, but would like to take a side trip to Angeles City to see what it's like. I understand it's about an hour-and-a-half drive to AC from Manila. I was thinking about taking a taxi during the day, visiting some of the bars, taking a girl out for three hours of fund in a local hotel, then returning before evening. I understand some of the AC bars are open during the day or even 24/7. I would appreciate any advice on my plan such as which bars to visit, which hotel to book for three hurs, cost of girl and hotel, how to get there, etc. Thank you for any advice.
