My advice to you is to reserve the specific Master Suite you want online without mentioning the HK VIP card, or any other discount.

Then when you arrive in Tijuana, go to HK's customer service area and purchase your VIP card.

Then go up to HK and ask to check in with your reservation (you might already have a confirmation # from the online reservation) still without a mention of the VIP card.

After the desk clerk acknowledges your reservation, and asks for a large payment for the room. ,. Then pull out your new HK VIP card to get the discount.

HK is notorious for losing monger reservations when it is time to check in.

I have to say I was a little disappointed with Cascadas. Seeing as they normally charge Western prices (without the VIP card), even despite being in Mexico, I expected a little more. I have as well. This is were the VIP Card works, they give you extra time, or if you rent the room for the night, nobody knocks on the door. Can not beat this, this is why I always get a room, even If I am staying at another hotel in Tijuana. Since Adelitas is just not that good anymore, I spend most of my time at H. K.
