Even a standard fee ATM (5500 COP per transaction roughly) would be more cost effective, particularly if you went to Citibank (withdraw up to 2, 000, 000 COP at a time, maybe more, not sure) or some of the other banks that now allow 800, 000 COP per transaction for foreign cards.

Arrived at MDE airport on a beautiful day. Just perfect weather.
