Long time reader and lurker here; had to create a new ID today to post as the last one seems to have disappeared after a few years of inactivity. I have a little bit of a hotel selection dilemma, hope you guys can help? I normally stay at the continent hotel which is right around the corner from soi cowboy and I enjoy that location very much. However my favorite hotel seems to be all sold out for the dates this December due to all the demand. I am considering either the Aira or the Eleven hotel on soi 11, or the S31 hotel on sukhumvit road just off soi 31. I will be in BKK for 17 days and I'm not sure if I want to deal with all the madness of soi 11 for that many days in a row? Also, I will be solo for the first few days but then my girlfriend will be joining me for the remainder of the trip and I'm not sure she will appreciate the colorfulness of soi 11. Honestly if it was just me alone I would prob just stay at the Eleven hotel as I've stayed there before and it's clean and decent on the inside. I stayed there for my visit last year and was fairly happy. I don; t mind the walk from 31 down to cowboy and for Nana nights I'll just take the skytrain. I had also booked jasmine city but cancelled that as the hotel reviews show it as being quite dated on the inside.
Advice is appreciated please.
Will be visiting Bangkok and Phuket, wondering if there's somewhere I can meet girls who enjoy smoking? And also some hotels where I can smoke with them inside? Thanks.

Nice rooms and I like their breakfast buffet. No problems with bringing in guests either.
It's a bit higher than your range but it's quite a convenient location. Rates depend on high / low season. Last time I stayed was in June and it was around $90/ night.

Galleria 10 is $60 and used to be my go-to. Pretty decent rooms, service, cleanliness and very quiet as it's down the soi. It's got a pool / small gym and breakfast is only ok but I prefer walking to T21.6 minutes walk to Thermae according to google and almost right in between Nana / Asok.
Pro tip: if you have a date you can take them to Cabbages & Condoms which looks pretty presentable but more importantly only a minutes walk away from the hotel.
Looking for suggestions for a month-long, probably two months, stay in Bangkok. I'm not looking for stars or anything fancy, just very affordable and reliable high-speed internet is a must as I'll be working remotely during my stay. Prefer vicinity of Nana or somewhere along Sukhumvit where I can easily catch a train to get around.

I just stayed 4 nights at the Ruamchitt Plaza and I absolutely loved it. I had a very reasonably priced superior room on the 7th floor, which was clean, spacious and functional. The staff at the reception was really friendly and the fact that the lower floors are used for ST with the girls from Thermae was hardly noticeable. Although I did not use the major argument for this location (I. E. Taking Thermae girls to your room) it is situated at the crossing of the MRT and the BTS, making it one of the best connected areas in BKK. Of course it is also right in between Nana plaza and Phrom Pong, both in walking distance.
So: shoutout to Ruamchitt. I'll definitely be back there (at least when travelling without a partner) and thanks to the folks, who recommended it here on the forum!

Or do you think the photos on their website are up to date and accurate. I'd a bit worried that the rooms in reality are a bit run down or shabby compared to any brochure photos? The rooms look spotless on their website. Interested in your opinion after staying there.
Also I wonder, if you are trying to hook up with girls say on TF, does the fact you are staying in that hotel put them off at all?

Just checked in, and I am perfectly happy. Of course do not expect 5 star luxury. But, spacious room, clean, good bed, excellent bathroom, quick wifi, good pool, friendly staff, ok some noise from outside on the 6th floor. But at this rate, I had a lot worse in BKK, and arriving from a dump in Vientiane, couldn't be better. And the basement is OK as well, very, very busy tonight.
I'm coming to BKK shortly and am booked at the Centre Point hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 10. Does anyone know what their policy on bringing girls to the room for a couple hours is? I don't expect to nightly but maybe once or twice during my stay.

But the walls are freshly painted and it's clean and the bed is good, so why would I care about a scratch on the table?
No need to impress anyone with the room.

Parinda is on Soi 4, easy walking distance (6 minutes?) to Nana Plaza. Room is just as nice as the Double Tree, and a lot cheaper. I paid $70 per night and it is well worth it. Pics on the web are identical to what you get. Room is squeeky clean and the staff take off their shoes before entering your room. Big shower, room safe, electric tea kettle, fast interwebs, comfy couch. I brought my Roku and hook it up to the TV so I can stream from my laptop.
The front of the hotel faces the frontage street (Duang Phithak) but you can walk out the back and use Ulit alley to get to Soi 4. Boss Suites is right there too.
At first I saw it on Agoda for $52, so I came and checked it out. When you actually try to book the room on Agoda, they add some shady Fee ($10 per night?) that they will refund you 60 days AFTER you leave the room. Seemed pretty crappy to me so I just paid Parinda. I'm not as sensitive to price as some.
Soi 4 has everything I need. Laundry services, food, 7-ELEVEn's, freelancers, taxis. And most importantly its just a quick walk from there to Kasalong and Lolitas (my favorite activity). There is a gaggle of Rwandan Freelancers South of Nana. Quite shapely. The "Why Not" ladyboy bar makes for fun people watching. Irish Pubs and English pubs for football and full English breakfast, any time of day.
Would stay again.

I'm planning my first trip to Thailand. I will be in Bangkok at the beginning and the end. My idea was to stay at Grande Centre Terminal 21 first for asok / soi cowboy and then the other stay at the Landmark more near Nana Plaza / Asok. Are they guest friendly with no fees?

I love the Double Tree, even though it's pricy. Great rooms, great breakfast buffet. How is the breakfast in the Parinda? It doesn't seem to have a buffet, does it?
