New Year in Rio -- Wet, and not in a good way
I hope that all the straight male tourists who came to Rio in hopes of checking out all the Brazilian beauties on Copacabana beach last night didn't get the wrong impression. Brazilian beauties do exist, just not on Copacabana beach on New Year's eve. My girl and I agreed that the hotest "women" actually were a couple of Trannies. Sad. The light drizzle didn't stop the fireworks or diminish the size of the crowd. Other than a little pushing here or there everyone was well behaved.

Some pics of the 15 min firework display launched from barges off the beach in front of Copacabana Palace last night. Legal!
Like Exec said, wet and rainy but that didn't stop the multitudes from clogging the streets and staying out until 2am to listen to a French DJ and bands like O Rappa.
Copacabana Palace Hotel Bar/club
I was in Shenannigans the other day and it was empty of GDPs except for one who had obviously come in (entered) with her gringo in tow. We didn't see any at all. I think that is old news.
I have seen some working girls in Copacabana Palace bar. If you face the the hotel, the entrance of bar is on the street, at the left side of hotel. I went there on a weekday. The entrance fee was 70R, I think. The quality of these working girls are better than Help's. They don't act like Help girls, more like normal girls. I didn't do any price checking since I was with local friends. I saw a guy taking a girl up to the hotel. After over a hour, the girl came back and looked for the next guy.
