Was bored one evening and did a lot of searching on the internet. Found these two web sites that may be helpful.

The first hasn't been updated in a while. And it has more of a mexican slang slant. The app advertised, is also no longer available. There is a search function in the top left of the first page.

If you arrive early, like 3, 4 PM, it' s not hard to get what you want. Even if arriving late, you can always tell the reception guys to hold the specific room for you while you go down to HK and wait.

Usually $1 propina would get the reception guys happy and they will take care of your needs.

T-Mobile and MetroPCS provides low cost service in MX and Canada. I am only charged and extra $5 a month. Surely you can afford that. I only use this when traveling to MX and whenever needed and I cancel when it is not needed. You can add and cancel this service at will. When I am in Tijuana I am connected to TelCel on a 3 G network. I can use the Internet, Whatsapp, order Uber, use maps, make phone calls to Mexican numbers and US numbers, etc. When in the States you can make international calls to MX and Canada as well all for just an extra $5. Some bros have posted similar information about other US cell phone service providers. So stay connected to the world when you are out of the States.

You have to download something ahead of time from within the app. I think it might be text only with no voice, not sure, but passing a phone around and typing is certainly an improvement over nothing.
