What is the diff for mansion 1 and 2 and which is the best to stay at?
Mansion 2 is a steep walk uphill from Mansion 1, say two short blocks. My experience is that Mansion 2 is quieter, more laid back, Mansion 1 is louder, seems more intense.
The ladies show up at Mansion 1. Also, the bar La Cueva is located at Mansion 1.
You can of course arrange for a woman to meet you at Mansion 2.
LOL, the lure?
Probably the lure can be summarized by:
Mansion-- a lot of chicas around 19 years old charging 150 k pesos (around $50 with the current rate) and offering 9 times out of 10 decent GFE experience.
Del Rey-- a lot of 30 year old chicas trying to charge $100 USD for on average a far less GFE than their younger sisters working at the mansion.
As Geolopes said some of the other things at the mansion not found at Del Rey.
--cheaper drinks.
--small shitty pool.
--no joiner fees.
--very helpful front staff if you are a guest and are friendly, one time I was sick around 2012 while at the mansion, one of the front desk girls went with me to the hospital and stayed there until 9 pm when I was discharged.
Good summary of the differences. This was the final straw that now took CR and TDR of my bucket list. Colombia it is! Viva Colombia!
The Tall Man.
I managed to get booking at Mansion but it is Sunday and Monday.
But I learned on forum it is dead on Sunday and Monday.
Is it true these days or nor.
Interested in checking it out but despite sifting through pages of reports, can't seem to find a link and there're several names it goes by and several alternatives on Google.
Found it!
For anyone else looking here is the website.

All the guys chipped in 40,000 COP each and invited the chicas over for a nice BBQ pool party. Thank you "Scott" for putting it all together. It was legend...wait for it...wait for it...WAIT for it...DARY! Geo.

".

And what other things like that do they have at the Mansion that I missed my first time there, and want to potentially avail myself to in a few weeks when I'm back there?

I've spent many a Sunday and Monday there and I've only seen those type of numbers if there was a special event going on.

I'd better start developing some other options, as I like variety of choice!
Hey guys, first time booking at the mansion. Gonig to stay there as its a quick 4 day trip.
My question is, which rooms are best? I prefer a low key, quiet room rather than being in the middle. Clean, quiet, private, any suggestions? I heard M1 was more bustling while M2 was quieter, however I heard the girls are at M1.
Any thoughts would be great!

Any thoughts would be great!
You already answered your own question. M2 is more quiet and private, M1 is the more active with the girls showing up to the pool during the day and the bar at night. I prefer to stay at M1 because I like to be at the center of things, a good friend of mine likes M2 more. So up to you, sounds like you are more of a M2 kinda guy.
As for what rooms check the website to see the pictures of the rooms. But be warned the rooms fill up fast especially around gringo holidays and the popular rooms like 11, 12 at M1 are taken.

Depending on how far out you are making reservations, the realistic view is likely going to be--you don't get to pick from the entire room line-up, rather you get to choose from what is not already booked. Best tactic is to send your travel dates to them and ask what they have available. Then look at the room pics and descriptions on the website and choose. And, do this as far in advance as possible.
