I have been looking at different places on line and I think I know all the places to go but am getting confused as to how far apart they are. Is Livenstones Lodge walking distance from some of the action? Is it close to NANA or SOI cowboy? Maybe someone can straighten me out. I'm thinking I'm going to have to taxi to both places. But maybe not. Also. If that is the case. Is there any action to be had within walking distance from the LL?

LL is about 30 minutes' walk from Nana, which, given the heat and humidity is not a lot of fun.
It is much better to take the BTS Skytrain, which runs on pylons about 12m above Sukhumvit Rd. The nearest BTS station is under 5 min from LL.
2 Stops westwards is "Nana station". The trip is 20 THB. It is AC'd, quicker (no traffic jams up there) and safer.
It is by far the best way around BKK.

george, ll has a bar 15 steps from your room, with 20 girls who are dying to jump in the double jacuzzi with you. outside of ll, within spitting distance are over a dozen bars.
unless you walk like a turtle, soi cowboy is under 10 minutes. taxis are everywhere, and so are motorbike taxis.

20 mins. to walk to Soi Nana, 10 mins. to walk to Soi Cowboy.

Within a minute you reach several bars here at Soi 33.

If you arrive late there you either go to Renoir (usually good late night action, but the girls are not really my type) or Mojo's. Mojo's is a partner bar from the Office Bar, same owner [group]. But - Mojo's has a only a limited quantity of girls working there, usually Coyote dancers. But later in the night the Office Bar girls move over there.

Still to be avoided: Christies and Napoleon! Though there might be some late night action these bars are not recommended because you will suddenly find some drinks on your bill which you did not order ...
