Recent Seoul visit. Update on spots
I recently spent a week or so in Seoul on a short business trip. I am white and speak broken Korean. Thanks to the helpful information here, I did some after-work exploring as well. Here is some info I saw.
1. Jinsu spa by best western & dynasty hotel is great. I paid $130 kw had a great experience. Directions I follower are exit sinnonhyeon station exit #3 walk straight up the street past dynasty hotel for 4 blocks, turn left at 751 sign and the place is on your left. They said they were open 24/7. I went to Ace, paid $240 kw, again awesome experience, the provider just started her shift at 9 pm and was really attentive. Exit # 3 from Kangnamkucheng station, first left and then on your left after the first alley. The place was very open to foreigners, no issues at all. I went to cheonho area, exit cheonho station #5, walk two blocks to large chrome tusks. The street is rodeo. Walk to end of street, cross street and enter market, left at the end of the alleway and you will see the place. Paid $80 kw for20 min, some place wouldn't acknowledge me, just moved on to ones who would, no issue. I went at about 8 pm on Friday, not everywhere was open, but enough, not sure how it changes as the night goes on.
I also found a few new ideas to share, FWIW. Foreigner friendly Kissbang near Namdeamoon gate / market. Exit Seoul station exit #4 (Namdeamoon market) and walk straight 3 blocks. You will see a pharmarcy on the left, turn up that alley, street sign says sea zhong dea gil ro 4. It will be on the 3rd flr, first door on the right. There is a sports massage place on the 2nd floor that had a barbershop pole outside. 40 kw 30 min & 70 kw 60 min, nice place. Massage place. Exit 3 from sukdeaipgu station, walk up the street past post office and yummy thai, there is a massage place in the basement. I met Jenni who has 2 sisters in America, she wants to learn English. I got extra attention because I spoke some English with her 80 kw for 60 min. I made it out to guri city, east of seoul on the the subway line. I saw two anma places. Stopped at one at about 4 pm on sat, there weren't taking customers yet, but did not seem to mind foreigners. It is one street south of the main street, exit the subway station, head south past the lotte store, turn left at main street and walk back toward seoul for about 1 km, you will pass a best electronic store on the north side and a gas station on the south side. The anma is behind the gas station on a alley street parallel to the main road. There looked to be a lot of other possible locations in the area, but I was never there late enough to fully explore.
