Punta Cana

A short cab ride from Punta Cana resorts is Plaza Bavaro, a market filled mostly with irritating vendors selling tourist crap. However, the bright spot is Steve's Bar, which is on the corner across the street from main market. It features a nice bar with a couple large TV's always tuned to sports. The bartenders are beautiful girls and on the menu when they are not working or on a break. Also, several pro's come and go frequently throughout the day, so grab a stool, order a Presidente beer, and then pick what you want.

I recommend Judy, a late 20's petite girl in great shape. She isn't shy and will likely approach you first. I offered 3000 peso, and she countered 3500. Deal ($70 USD). Two block safe walk to a no no-name hotel where you get the room and condom for 900 peso. $18.

Everything covered but lots of fun. BJ, cowgirls and then some awesome doggy with one of her feet on the bed, and the other on the floor.

Is it just me, or do you find that most Euros tend to bring up race much more than Americans? What does race / color of the "gringos" have to do with anything? Also, football (American) is a much more manly sport than Soccer.

The MT hotel in Plaza Brisas is a considerable upgrade from Flamboyan, USD 70. Nice rooms, swimming pool, good breakfast, clean sheets and bathroom and safe deposit box in the room. There are some nice bars and restaurants in the Plaza and next to it.

Both hotels are chica friendly. Heard a lot of high heels leaving the hotel early this morning

The owner of a German restaurant recommended the ATM of Scotia Bank (Plaza Brisas), but told me to avoid the ATM of Banco Popular. The max from Scotia Bank is 10.000 per withdrawal. Best exchange rates you get from Caribe express, between the above mentioned Plazas on Avenida Espana. They gave me 4,95 per euro. At the airport I was offered 3,80. Need an ID.[/QUOTE]

But anyway, I'm sorry if I have hurt your feelings with my post. My point was to answer to the people, who have asked, if they should go to Punta Cana, even if the rumor is that it's full of "Euros". I always encourage people to leave their comfort zone (Sosua) and travel around the island.

What does American football being manly sport have to do with my post or anything. It's not very popular sport in the world and therefore being marginal, word football should be exclusively used when talking about the world's number one sport. No, you're not. You're 100% American and that should be good enough for any man!

I agree American Football is played by men. Association Football (soccer) is probably the only genuinely Worldwide sport where the USA is pre-eminent but only in the women's game. As for the Prima Donna armoured Pansies, I would invite you to watch the upcoming match which exemplifies the original football, Rugby Union Football. New Zealand vs the British Lions kicks off at 3.30 am NY time. You'll see a match of power, endurance and skill played with an intensity which will take your breath away.

As I understand it Punta Cana isn't a pure hoe destination so the trouble-and-strife won't find it an unacceptable environment.

But is there nearby facilities I can go to when I have a some free time and need some "relief"?

What sort of choice is likely?? Many girls outside the resorts, some casa's, streetwalkers? I also don't want to return to my hotel only to later "bump" into my extra-curricular hoe at the poolside bar, ideally I'd like a big secure tourist resort for the family, and nearby facilities, where the girls don't drift into the hotel. Don't want "Hi, papi, you don't remember me? When I'm with family.

It is an area of resorts and compounds designed to get money out of foreign tourists. As far as hookers, there were maybe 6 of them. Did I mention it to be a town of resorts and compounds? So the chance of seeing one at your pool is 0. I will try to write my report tomorrow.

As Bar Aleman. Its a regular bar where girls come and go and will take you to a short term hotel around the corner.

Prices depend on your Spanish skills but figure 100 us and can negotiate lower.

The balance is family vacation vs opportunity for a "quickie. ".

Samana is another tourist area, as an alternative to Punta Cana. Not familiar with the mongering opportunities, but cab drivers might be able to direct you.

Playa Dorada, in particular Hotel Barcelo, is economical, provides lots of amenities, all inclusive food and drink, and is just across the road from Field of Dreams.

Another great family vacation place is Hotel Bahia Principe, just outside of Rio San Juan. Excellent amenities and layout. Again, look to local cabbies for assistance.

Bavaro is another tourist area to investigate.

I don't know your taste or priorities, so don't expect a perfect fit. But, as I said, the advice costs you nothing. I find good prices on Hotelsdotcom.

Hotel Barcelo in Playa Dorada would seem a good match. FOD just 5 minutes by cab, and they all know it well.

When I'm with family.[/QUOTE]Where the girls can be found in Punta Cana would be Drink Point an open air nightclub in Bavaro near Steves Bar but it doesn't usually get going until around 10 pm but Steves Bar usually has a few girls hanging around all day. There are a couple of other open air nightclubs on that same street going up towards Friusa that get going at night where you can find working girls too. You will also find some all day action in the El Corticito area where there are a couple of bars and cafes in this little area. Most of the working girls stay in Friusa, not a tourist area of PC, which is another neighborhood in the PC area. I have found girls during the day to sometimes be hanging out at Bibijagua cafe on the beach. Also check out the Dominican massage parlors, not the Russian ones, that are in El Corticito they usually have action happening in there or they will call someone for you. There are plenty of girls in Punta Cana because theres plenty of money in PC they are just not concentrated in any one spot like Sosua or Boca chica so it requires a little more work on your part.

Blue Lights, Lady Factory and the one up by the old Texaco at the mouth of Friusa are all shut down and nothing has replaced them as far as I know.

Punta Cana clientele is tipically wedding parties, family vacations, and a guy with his wife or steady. Sometimes groups of chicks go there to relax. Single guys? Only when it is their first time in DR and they do not know any better.

I think Old Kool said he went there his first time, but has not mentioned anything about going back. Whenever someone in my facebook groups (or here) mentions they will go there or vacation or for a bachelor party and asks about picking up chicks people tell them they are going to the wrong place. I already knew better and was smart enough to bring a girl to make it a couple's thing.

I have been there many times and definitely will go back. If you just go for mongering, it may not be your ideal place, but I never go anywhere just for that. There is enough pussy for everyone and it is not difficult to find. If you don't find them, just ask somebody. In February in Steve's Corner, there were maybe 20 girls during the week nights and 30 during the weekend and there is a lot of willing girls in Drink Point in the same block, when Steve's Corner closes.

Hotel MT, pool and a girl. I can't complain about the place.

FWIW my friend just returned from Punta Cana and stayed at an All Inclusive. His report to me indicated the following:

There were a number of tourists that were there for a good time but the mongering scene was also ripe. Instead of looking at local bars and strip clubs look for the resort workers. Many of them take a bus from wherever they live 1-2 hours away and rather than go home they would prefer to spend their time with some gringo.

Not my preferred destination in the DR but I'm sure if you want to monger it can easily be done.
