If I will only be in AC and Subic, is it really even worth pipelining pinays for my trip using DIA or PC? I've never been outside of Manila proper as far as Phils is concerned, so I don't know if there are simply way too many superior options where I'm headed to bother with online girls, or if it's more like the DR--plenty of girls around, but it helps to provide a nice auxiliary. I'd love to have something to keep me from going crazy waiting for this last week-and-a-half to pass before my SEA trip to start, but if it's not worth my money or (more importantly) time, I could just zone out and play some FIFA instead.

You don't need to research at all.
There are lots of girls available. WHen we say we are doing research, we are looking for the hidden gems that are out there. You can always do some fossicking when you are in town.

Pinays are in general less developed than their simular aged western sisters and by this they don't have a very broaden view of the world so you can easily / very fast run out of subjects to talk about. We all know we can not fuck 24-7 so there will be some quite moments if you don't find a pinay having some knowledge. What I mean is that it can be a long week if you do not connect in others area than in the bedroom. I don't know what age you are in nor what kind of age you look for in a girl. A more matured pinay may be better for a hole week. I myself can go tired from them after a few hours but I guess I am weird that way. As in we have nothing in common and no mutual platform to start from ex sex. There are exceptions though and I guess it is an exception girl you need for a hole week.
You may atleast want to do some testdrives (in all aspects of the word) before decissionmaking takes place as in meet them in MNL and spend a day with a few objects there. Can you immagine how you feel if you just meet a girl, lets say at the airport, and allready during the flight you get sick and tired from her. Maybe difficult for you to achieve by now but the only pinay I've ever taken on holiday within phils was a regular well travelled and highly educated girl. So, heeding your advice, I am counting on doing lots of activities in Palawan (boating, kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, hiking) to keep us busy, and not rely on sitting around a cafe table trying to discuss world events.
And when it comes time to relax, I don't mind if we just snuggle quietly together in a hammock (again, going for the girlfriend experience).

If you add in a couple of questions or more they will mostly only answer the last one. If you meet one can handle multiple sentences and multiple questions and answer them she might be a keeper, hehe. It is nothing as depressing writing a small essay and the pinay replies "ok" or "huh".
I am also very sensitive sharing my personal details ex to a few of my regular girls in which I deeply trust. The rest of the girls have realy no idea who I am as most is fake, name, fb etc incl. Consider taking two girls with you. One for you and one girl for your girl to talk to. This keeps them entertained and lets you do what you want.
Most importantly, you need to choose well and interview the girls prior to travel.
I've done one trip where I basically did my own thing all day and just met my girl for nights.
Another trip was with a wingman, the two girls talked tagalog all day, my wingman and I talked boys stuff. Each couple would disappear at various times of the day to have some private time.

This is also a fantastic idea, but I am not a wing-man type of guy. I prefer to monger alone & spontaneously.
Getting 2 girls might be a challenge, I think? Most girls on DIA and other sites are at least pretending to be looking for "a guy who is serious". I have had no problem getting attention from those girls (even though my profile says that I would like a girl to spend a week with in Palawan). But if I propose that she comes with another girl, that might be stretching it...? Especially if I am looking for a girl who is very young (20-24) and inexperienced. (I'm 41 and look younger).

Many of them are accustomed to going away on little side trips with foreigners and some of them can give you a serious GFE. You can test drive them and see what their attitude is like and whether you can put up with them before going away. They will also know of suitable WG friends to potentially take along. The WGs can chat in Tagalog while you do your thing during the day. At night, you have a ready made threesome (provided the WGs know of your wish at the start). You just have to bar fine them for the days you will be away and give them a suitable tip. As long as you are not going to their home town, most WGs won't mind being seen with a foreigner.
