Manila / Ermita information
Thanks all, for the suggestions.
So Malate is my first stop. I seem to be reading a lot in the forum about Hussy's. Might check that out before MBC. Still have to decide on where to stay. Thats next.
Great forum, mongers. I'm doing my homework, RTFF is well worth spending time on. As a newcomer, I am sure I'll need the guidance of the wise ones from time to time, but I'll try not to present laundry lists of questions.
Hi I'm Punter:
I was in Ermita in July and checked out some of the famous places mentioned here in the forum. When I say "checked out" it was cursory; I had my girlfriend with me.
Two things I wanted to mention on the board:
1) Across the street from Duck Inn / Hussies and south a bit. 1/2 block if I remember, there was a bright blue painted building with an open courtyard, lighted at night. Inside the courtyard were 6-8 lovely young women, dressed as if they were available, lounging on sofas and love seats. It looked like take-out to me. I'm's mention of trying Hussies reminded me of this place. Has anyone frequented similar establishments in the PI? I have seen them and partaken in Guadalajara, Mexico. Perhaps this is why I noticed it.
2) Across the street to the north of Amazonia, about 2 businesses from the corner, is a nice little bar called "The Butterfly Bar." Since I am 53 years old and hard of hearing, it is refreshing to find a bar that the music is not so loud. Also the music was more from my era. I was in there twice, there didn't appear to be working girls there, but there were about 7 lovelies in bar uniform on an afternoon when there were only 3 customers. I assume from their dress and actions that they are available. Once again, I did not partake since my lady was with me. Point is that this is a nice bar to have a drink in, get out of the noise, and there is no pressure here. If one is feeling overwhelmed at Amazonia, Hussies, MBC this would be a "safe haven." I enjoyed it there, watching the waitresses rub up against the 70 year old Cano and blowing out the birthday candles on their naked lady cake.

Various Ermita observations
I posted a few photos of the Butterfly bar in "Photo Section" thread. A tourist website had this to say about The Butterfly Bar:
This is a small quiet bar. So if you wish to escape the loud, crowded bars this is a quiet place to relax.

It just seemed a quiet haven amongst the craziness of Ermita. But not so quiet that it wasn't fun, too. The drinks were reasonable and the atmosphere was cool.
I also found another web site that has some info on bars in Ermita. It does not seem that it has been updated for some time.

My trip to Ermita in July was a blast. Aside from the info in the previous posting, I checked out Amazonia and MBC. Since my lady was with me, it was very interesting to say the least. At Amazonia I had a lot of offers for massages, even though she was sitting next to me.
At MBC I had a lady named Mila that made a run on me when my lady was in the washroom. Mila then sat in front of us and posed sexy for me, batting her eyes, giving me the come hither look, until we left. Funny, but my lady was mad at her, not me even though I did some of the flirting. She called her a "stupid woman.
She was also impressed at how much internet homework, including the monger spots, I had done. I didn't tell her the ISG was my primary source of Philippine info.
Can't figure them out sometimes, but they sure are fun most of the time.
Maybe next trip I can convince her to partake of a 3 some. LOL.
