I am planning to visit in 2 weeks time, guys. Almost 10 years ago I spent a few days in Jakarta.
I forgot the name of the 4 floor complex with disco and ST room inside. And they fully operate during daytime.
Is it still open? If yes, please tell me the name of the place.
Thanks advance guys.
It's known as the "Stadium" and is located four alleys south of the intersection of Jalan Mangga Besar and Jalan Hayam Wuruk. Its front door is approx a 50-meter walk from the "Mangga Besar" stop on TransJakarta Line #1 (the main north-south bus line that goes from Blok M in the south to Kota in the north, with popular stops for Sarinah, Plaza Indonesia, Sarinah Plaza and the MONAS monument). This area is just south of Kota and north of all of the other places I mentioned (MONAS, Sarinah, Plaza Indonesia, etc.).
Three alleys to the north is the famous Kartika Spa where one can enjoy a body-to-body slide massage.
Both the Stadium and Kartika have been written about extensively. RTFF. There is at least some security risk from going to the Stadium, especially later at night when the place could get busted, or you'll find a girl who's high on ecstasy or a similar drug.
If you go in two week's time, you'll be ok, but if your trip gets delayed, please keep in mind that the fasting month of Ramadan begins around June 28th, so the Stadium, Kartika and most of the other saunas will be closed from June 25th onwards, to reopen in August.
