The police operation some time back got the mayor energetic I see. That being said this was always the case. The hookers could not show up early because the city did not want the "tourists" to see. This tolerance zone business has been discussed before. The last mayor did stupid shit like make businesses close early so that this part of the night life would go away.
I like what the article says on the constitution and the rights of the workers though. The cops can annoy the hookers enough to make them move but I doubt much more than that. Unless you're a Venezualan without documents.

Most clubs won't let them in. Like VIP will charge you a cover for bringing in a working girl. Or at least they did to me.

I am new to this board but not new to the hobby. Mostly have done my own live and learn stuff and travelled to various Latin American and Asian countries. Last trip was to Havana in early July. Was thrilled to come across this board and see the wealth of info contributed by why'all. I was in CTG in 2016 and will be there again in November and will report back. My impressions from reading the last 40-50 pages it seems some things have changed and many things remain the same. For example Torre de Reloj is the center of action and chica options are greater. But in reaction some of the rental apt property owners are more paranoid about visitors. Most luxury Airbnb apts want visitors names given 24 hours in advance. At least a couple years ago it was a simple registration and ID check when chicas arrived. Similarly the politicians are reacting the same way although I think they realize our kind of tourism brings $$$ otherwise there isn't much to brag about CTG.

You don't want security giving you problems like I had in Bocagrande. Chicas are about 150 k -200 k. Pesos. If you can't find them in the clock tower, try the clubs. And tinder is your best friend. Just ask the host their guest policy. It might seem weird but it's better then getting there and you can bring anyone back.
