When you buy clothes it depends. If you buy from one of the expensive malls I. E. Siam Paragon, the Emporium, etc you proabably won't have any problems returning something. If you buy it from a street vendor, forget about it. They will not remember selling it to you. Its mostly like this in all the markets like MBK or Chatuchak, Suan Lum etc also. Just go in knowing that if you buy something from these places all sales are FINAL.

Although the offer was very generous of you, I didn't find the girl in the pic to be very "hot". That's just me, though.
At Titanium the other night and watched a drunk American get the shit kicked out of him. Not just by Thai men but by Thai women too!
This poor fellow was having a good time. Dancing, laughing, ass grabbing with 3-4 of the Titanium hostesses/waitresses. Of course, he had been buying ladydrinks for all those cute girls for several hours and he went nuts when he was presented with his bill for the night.
I don't know how big his bill was, but I bet it was upwards of 20,000 to 30,000 baht. Titanium is not one of those ripoff karaoke bars but it is easy to ring up that much of a bill when you're buying ladydrinks for 3-4 girls for a couple hours.
The guy started screaming, throws the bill in the waitresses face, wildly waving his arms, and refusing to pay.
A couple stout Thai bouncers dragged him outside and by the time he hit the pavement, he was getting kicked by tuk tuk drivers, waitresses, bouncers, and even some stranger who just happened to be walking down the street.
If you come over here and act like you jerk, you are running a good chance of getting your ass kicked. Including women! This aint America.
For me this is simple. Why make a fuzz about a ting like this? Nobody likes to be tricked but - HEY its better to solve this with a smile and nice words. If we behave desent I cant see any problem. I have never been in trouble in Thailand - in any situation - but I try to be nice.
On the other hand I have seen some bad farangs do bad things if they are to drunk or something like that.

I'll be in BKK next Saturday and my day will consist of a morning visit to Mango, followed by bar-fining a particular NEP go-go girl in the evening for LT.
Is it possible to reserve the girl by paying her bar-fine, and agreeing a fee, in the early evening? I don't particularly want to spend the evening with her, as her English is not great, but equally I don't want to turn up around 10pm only to find she has gone off with someone else (although I know it wouldn't be the end of the world). And if I pay the mamasan the bar-fine, what are the chance so her 'not remembering it' 3 hours later?
I guess the question is: Is this a relatively common practice or completely bizarre, and if I try and arrange it in a noisy go-go bar in broken English, what are the chances it will all work out? :)

I've paid the bar fine for a girl to be picked at a pre-arranged time later in the evening several times in Cowboy as well as in Pattaya. The girl was always there, ready and waiting, when I came back for her.
This does not guarantee that you will have a similar experience at Nana, but I expect it will work out fine.
There is no way to guarantee that the delicate young flower you select won't take four or five three-hole short times with an assortment of gentlemen of various nationalities and ethnicities between when you reserve her and the prearranged pick up time though.

Even in Sukhumvit, if one is polite, Thais would usually be amenable to this. Secondly, he lost control, lost his temper, lost face, and perhaps to the Thai guy who beat him, he was about to hit or slap the lady. He could have walked off, posted a report on the internet, told every single friend and guy he met not to frequent that bar, and just put it down to that is their loss in terms of continuing business as opposed to his own. But he stayed and fought, and you're going to lose in these situations just about every time.

A CIS approached me asking for light and started chatting in the smoking room. She was from the east coast of Russia and agreed on BHT 5000. She went to say good bye to her friend and offered me a duo for an additional BHT1500. Not keen on two I asked her to come alone.
On our way back to the hotel we had some nice intellectual discussion on global impact of October 1917 Russian Revolution and fallout of Perestroika and the new geo political realities in Central Asia. I was really happy to find out a wg with some brain although I regretted that later.
In the hotel, the chat continued and after a few drinks she told me that she is not feeling well, she is desperately in need of money and she wants money on purely humanitarian basis. On my counter logic she just lied down on the bed, full of tears and asking me to do whatever I like. This offer was also not acceptable. At the end she agreed to leave with BHT 3000 although she was asking for BHT 7000 (her monthly rent). Before leaving she gave her email address and told me she had just found a friend. If I feel the same, I should keep in touch and we are still chatting on emails.
This could be a simple emotional black mail or like many of us, a day off on full pay as sick leave. I would greatly appreciate your comments especially if you have a similar experience.

About a year ago, I did pick up a beautiful CIS at CM2. Also had wonderful intellectual conversation with her. She used to teach at a highschool in one of the previous soviet countries. Brought her back to JW Marriot and continued to discuss politics, global business, and religion until 3am. After going through half the alcoholic beverages in mini bar, unlike your emotional black mailer, she fucked me like there is no tommorrow. But then again you never know. I have heard countless reports of it not working out as planned.

Gents, Amazing Thailand and BKK are truly live up to their reputations. I have totally enjoyed the present time in BKK and pleasant stay at the M. S. Hotel. The take out no. 99 at the Annie's MP. Was okay for 3500baht including a 500 baht sent off in the morning. I still think the girl is more happy and much better performance in house. The Last 2 barfine at the Country bar soi Cowboy went great with a lot of bar hopping in the NEP. The Rainbow 4 is still pack every night. However, RB4 is Not really my liking. The Angelwitch show girls were ineresting and the drinks are decent price. On top of these, I was able to enjoy some very Great times at the other MP.
