From what I have heard, most of the Afros have not been out of India almost since Covid started. One, they are students and might not even be able to afford to go back home even if there was no travel restrictions. Two, most of them never visit home during their studies here. They just pack up and leave once they finish studies.

Yes, there might be some new people that have come to India to start studies after Covid began, or travel here for personal reasons. I had seen a few Afro families in Columbia Asia hospital so assume some of them do settle down in India. Most of them come from Eastern Africa or central Africa, and are poor. They come here on India Govt sponsorship.
