A few of the larger bars, multilevel, had several fine ranges up to 3000 for the better girls, notice I didn't say prettier. I could never figure their reasoning for some of those higher priced girls. There is one place that is a complete rip-off, can't remember the name but its a big place in the back of another place, anyways the barfine was something crazy like 4000+ and the girls there for the most part didn't seem to be any nicer than the ones in the smaller joints. 1500 price. It seems most places the girl gets about half the barfine.

Everyone has their own opinions on tipping but my experience is:

0-500 for short time or runners, depending on the experience.

500-1000 for long time, again depending on the service.

Most time the girl is very appreciative that I give them anything, so these numbers may be high, or it was just my false impression.

Also, one other thing, they like to call it "early work release" instead of barfine there. Technically you are buying a certain number of lady drinks, usually 10, to allow her to leave the bar. Unfortunately you don't actually get those drinks and the girl. .

Like I said, I have limited time there, so feel free to correct me on any of these numbers. I have a "regular contact" working there, so, I can get some additional info if you need it. Looking forward to getting back there very soon for extended stay.

I don't think the bar will let you leave without paying for the bar tap for the drink you consume, just like if you get a runner after you do her once and try to get your barfine back they tell you noway, the girl will tell you excuse in the last minute the manger just tell you to barfine someone else.

- 0 if the girl has a lot of BS excuses, just did not deliver at all on what she promised.

- 200 for average performance.

- 500 for great performance (which must necessarily include multiple rounds)

LT:

- 0 for runners, real crappy performance.

- 500 if she was average. 2 rounds.

- 1000 if she was great.

Lately, I am more and more inclined to give either all or nothing. So if she tried hard, she gets the full 1000 pesos (for LT). If not, I send her on her way with nothing.

They put each one in a shotglass, and it's a mix of coke and some vile stuff. Even the girls don't like drinking them.

Does the bar scene especially on Fields differ much according to the day of the week? Are certain days busier with more customers, and are certain days better for overall selection of the ladies? I mainly come to Angeles during the week (Monday. Thursday) and I wonder if things are different on Friday / Saturday.

Sometimes what I would do is just sit right near the stage and chat a girl up I liked while she's up there swaying back and forth. Talk to her for a few minutes and if you sense there's some chemistry just ask her if she wants to barfine right there and then, without even buying a LD. If she agrees she'll exit the stage to go change into her street clothes. If she says no, then just wait for a few minutes and a new rotation of girls will be infront of you sawaying back and forth. Lather, rinse, repeat until someone you like says yes.

Of course, the romantics among us won't like this idea, but they probably shouldn't be mongering in the first place.

Other guys have mentioned on here to chose the girl that "picks you", and that's an option too, but I've found that most of those girls look like dogs. They have to be aggressive to make any money. But, that's an option as well.

In Bangkok, my favorite hunting ground, I usually give Go Go girls 300bt to 500bt (tops) tip. In other words, I give a minimum 15% tip on top of the service charge, not the bar fine, of 1500bt to 2000bt, if she gave me a real good time and I liked her company. If I did not get great service or there was something wrong with the girl's attitude; I do not tip.

In my 5 day first time AC trip, I exclusively took girls out of small Fields Street Bars like Dirty Duck, Gecko, Lollipops, and Body Shop. The EWR was always 1500p. Every AC Filipina bar girl showed me a good time in the bar and at my hotel. I had no runners or non performers. I tipped the girls 200p or 300p each. They appreciated it, but I got the feeling that they did not really expect it unlike their Thai cousins. From my experience then, I recommend tipping 200p to 300p for a 1500p EWR bar girl (13% to 20%) but only if she shows you a good time. Don't be stingy. These girls deserve a little something extra when they do a good job. On the other hand, a tip should be strictly at the discretion of the customer. Do not reward less than very good performance. You do not have to tip if you do not want to.

I agree that flipping an AC bar girl a 1000p tip to be a little crazy. That works out to a 33% tip for a 3000p EWR showgirl or a ridiculous 67% tip for a 1500p EWR girl. But it is up to the guy. Those big tippers must perceive some kind of return on their extravagance or they are just irrational. I don't think it impacts the market too much. The girls view these big tippers as a rarity.

Never ever tip. Its a bad habit of simple minded people to increase their mediocre status in the society.

Did you ever tip your dentist if he pulls a teeth?

Did you ever tip your mechanic for changing oil on your wreck?

Did you ever tip your wife for serving you?

Why then tipping a working girl for a job done on a price agreed earlier? Not logic for me at all.

[/QUOTE]Do you really think the Thai girls expect additional tips? I think it is different there because you negotiate the tip upfront and all of the money you give them goes directly to them. The week I spent in Pattaya I only tipped one girl 100 baht. She was a beer bar girl working at my hotel. She initially asked for 1500 but I talked her down to 1200. She stayed a long time with me until about 3:30PM which was just enough time to go home and get ready to go back to work. I contemplated giving her the 1500 she initially asked for but when she was ready to leave she asked for 1300 so I gave it to her.

Anyway this is the AC thread not Pattaya. My week in AC the first girl I took I walked her back to her boarding house in the morning. Talking to members here before my trip I was wary of overtipping. She did not seem to expect a tip and she was already home so I did not give her one. The next night I got a runner so there was no chance for a tip. The next night I met an Australian guy and then met him for breakfast after. He gave his girl a substantial tip (700-1000 I think) and thus shamed me into tipping my girl 400. After that I gave my LT girls 200-300 and ST nothing and everyone seemed happy with that. My last 2 nights were spent with the same girl including my last night which was her night off. I did not tip her after the first night and gave her 1500 when she left. I figured she would normally get around 700 from her share of the EWR so that would work out to around an 800 tip for 2 nights. I do not know if she thought that was fair or not but she pesters me now all the time via email wondering when I am coming back.

Fast Eddie 48[/QUOTE]Yeah, I agree that's why I put that in the 0-500. Definitely 0 for a runner. These were ranges I was giving, so, a very good ST performer could be 200 maybe, especially if ST was the preferred service to begin with.

Sounds like I have been to generous for LT, maybe I should be tipping in the 500-700 range for LT and good performance. I'll have to give that a go next time and see the response.

To the guys that say "no way, no tip, ever", I like to think of it as an incentive. Obviously, the girl is not aware that I am going to tip her to start with, so yeah, maybe they are surprised that I will tip. I like the girl to know, or at least think in her mind, that her great effort to please a guy might pay off. Especially if I plan on taking her again. Same principal as tipping in restaurants. Really, a $3-$5 tip ain't going to make a big difference to me. If a girl is LT and only a fair a performer, then yeah she is getting 500 or less. It really depends on the situation. I guess I could make it something like 200 a pop, after the first one.

I don't agree dropping a lot of cash to have fun, there are at least 6000 girls on Field's alone, granted most are not lookers, but at the end of the night the result is all the same. But I do like to throw a small incentive for a great experience.

Definitely would like to hear more opinions on tipping, especially in AC. I plan to make many more trips there soon.

I find it the other way around. From my experience, Thais never ask or expect tips, but AC pinos do.
