First many thanks to the guys who have posted reports for what looks to be a pretty barren P4 P scene in Doha. But after reading the last 4 years of posts, it looks like some action is available between the MP scene and the WGs in some of the hotel bars.

Like a lot of guys I'll be in Doha in November for the World Cup and wondering what the scene will be like. I'm thinking it'll be very limited and expensive with demand way higher than supply. For one they're only allowing immigration during this time with the Hayya card and you need a match ticket and accommodations to get the card. So this could limit the amount of talent coming into Qatar for just the tournament.

Also, the western hotels with bars will be 100% booked for the whole month, and there is talk that only hotel guests will be allowed in as they will be about the only place to watch matches in a bar with alcohol available other than the outdoor Fan Fests. Unfortunately, hotels have not been made available to us non-connected visitors so far, they are unbookable.

Anyway, I'm hoping this thread gets busier as the World Cup gets closer and then guys post some good tips once it starts. I'm not optimistic that it'll be very good but hoping for some action. For now, I took a bunch of notes from the past posts here and want to say thank you again for the guys who shared their information.

You have to purchase a membership card for 25 QAR. You will need EHTERAZ app on your phone (green), your passport and vaccine card. The good part about the membership is that you can use it for 3 months and there is no entry fee after you pay the 25 QAR.

In Qatar, alcohol is the highest I've seen internationally. A beer will cost you 50 QAR. Liquor is 100 QAR per shot at some places. It's ridiculous.

Thursday and Friday are busy, as explained before, so a lot of these birds are attempting to charge retail prices. I know this so I just chat them up and get WhatsApp numbers to negotiate wholesale pricing during the week.

They will quote you 1500 QAR for an hour or even higher to see if they can make some easy money.

I have negotiated 400 QAR for an hour plus taxi. Cheapest yet.

Most will go for 600 QAR including taxi.

My target is 700 to 1000 for 3 hours. This way they get their money and I get at least 2 shots.
