New Scam in Makati, Manila?!\
Location: Makati, Manila, Philippines (P. Burgos Street).
A small massage shop about a minute away from the main street.
Scam: Broken Condom Payment.
Details: There are a number of women going up and down P Burgos offering massage and more, many of them ladyboys. One lady offered to take me to a massage shop about a minute away from the main street. I had seen it before as it is on the 2nd floor of a building with Massage / Spa written in neon. When I got there, a ladyboy and the woman negotiated to 3000 pesos for massage and sex. I double confirmed the woman was a woman as her companion was definitely a ladyboy. I was led to a very small room where I disrobed and laid down. The lady gave me a weak massage, but her ladyboy friend started to also massage me. I polite asked the ladyboy to leave, but he kept trying to join in. I insisted he leave and he finally stopped and left. I flipped over and the woman disrobed, talked how sex was illegal so to be quiet. She went into reverse cowgirl and I eventually came.
This is where things went bad. She suddenly said the condom broke and asked what we should do. I reached down and did feel something on the outside of the condom. In retrospect, I should have checked the condom for holes before removing it, but I just wanted to leave. She started saying she was only a student (a very old one if true) and she needed money as she might be pregnant. I told her my tubes were tied so not to worry. The ladyboy then entered and said it was my responsibility to pay for what happened. They allowed me to dress, I paid them the 3000, but they kept blocking me from leaving claiming medical expenses. On the street, she asked for 11,000 pesos to get a medical check, so I said let's go to the police. As we got closer to the street, the ladyboy started grabbing and pushing me, demanding money, then throwing my glasses on the ground. I eventually forced my way to the street and found a police stand. The lady actually came, but said I hadn't paid her yet. I was honest and said I did pay for the service and she was asking for more. Surprisingly, the woman admitted to prostitution but didn't mention the broken condom. Eventually, the police just told me to leave.
A few notes: I found a lotion bottle while I was getting dressed. I'm not positive, but I think what she did was put lotion on the condom and then claimed it broke. She didn't seem all that upset when the condom broke and I didn't actually check, so it felt very much like a scam. This whole situation has really put me off mongering, especially in the Philippines, so I'm going to take a break for now.
