Trip Report-Cartagena November 6-9.
Buddy and I landed at 12:40 pm At CTG from MIA and several hundred people were already in line at custom / immigration line. Apparently many flights arrive about the same time in CTG. Note to travelers from Canada: for some reason the fare for American Airlines flights originating in Canada didn't include the entrance fee so my buddy had to pay the fee in a separate line before clearing customs.
Exchanged small USD for 2750 COP at the airport and pay 20 K for taxi to Bocagrande waterfront condo by 2:30. Tried to get a better exch rate at the banks and not one was higher than 2850 COP; some banks didn't even buy US dollars. FYI I got 1 USD=3170 COP on the credit card charges and no foreign transaction fees. Still had to exchange cash to pay for mongering but that is all I used cash for.
Since we both have girlfriends in town we agreed in advance to wife up for a couple of nights and keep our third night free. Went to Playa Hollywood and vicinity for recon and saw a few 6's or 7's and 1 or 2 8's and most were from Medellin. That evening and night was with the girlsfriends, dinner at La Casa De Socorro in Getsemani; traditional food in a nice atmosphere, ok but nothing special and overall pricey for typical Colombian food (I like their girls but not their food).
The girlfriends left to go to work in the am after bfast and us boys went for a lazy day by the beach. As soon as we walked across Calle 1 we saw two girls in bikinis ogling us. A quick chat and my buddy reached behind the bikini-top of one of them and manhandled her boob! Exchanged numbers and arranged for the 19 yo moreno for my pal and a 22 mullatto for me both from Medellin for after lunch and we continued our beach walk. Again, we noted new talent on the beach but not an overwhelming number. Bud chatted with a 23 yo 8. 5 or 9 with a gorgeous bod but her friend was not that attractive. Because we have an understanding that we both pull chicas at the same time and watch each other's back he passed.
Back to the condo and our friends arrived at 2:30 for fun. I like to be sure their tacos are clean so showered together and thoroughly soaped them. Then complete GFE with uncovered head and lots of passion. The only thing better would have been larger tits and she had little be cups. Easily 90 minutes had passed and my bud says he wants to hang out with his chic for longer. I am in my 50's and already had two rounds so didn't have much left but was ok because of our agreement. My bud is 10 years younger than me and had awesome sex and would have stayed with the moreno for the full trip but this time I vetoed that idea. Our agreed rate was 150 K each but we ended up giving each 200 K for the 2-3 hours they hang out with us plus 30 K for taxi. Some kind of a festival for the indigenous people of Bolivar State that day and a parade and activities throughout the town and some people had the day off so the mood was festive and we did our share!!
Again the night was with the girlfriends and dinner at white linen Boka Restaurant in Bocagrande. Definitely better quality and more modern choice of meals and the price was similar to Soccoro. My bud had lots of fun making his girlfriend participate in his fantasies with him that night. I am not as adventurous plus I was worn out already and was trying to save some energy for the trip to Medellin.
For our last day, we rested and ate and drank at the beach. In my 2016 trip we pulled at least 10 girls from around Torre Del Reloj as everyone knows it's ground zero for action and so saved the last night for it. Arrived at clock tower at 9:00 and live concert at the Convention Center and thousands of people on the street. The plaza was packed with people and talent everywhere some obvious and some more hidden. We walked a bit and grabbed a few drinks at a couple of bars but most people were outside. I expected more gringo mongers around but didn't notice many, perhaps because of the festival or maybe because it was still early. My bud wanted to quickly pull a Venezuelan but I held him back. Around 11:00 he saw her again and was hot on her tail and negotiated 150 K for the hour. There was a gorgeous blond tall chic I liked who wanted 250 K for 1 hour and wouldn't come down. The night before my girl already had me drained so for a change I wasn't thinking with my small head and I passed. We took a taxi and I did my emails while bud completed his deed. He was done quickly and felt she was too mechanical and disengaged so the night ended on a blah note. Next am We had flights to MDE at 11:20. I will update that section shortly.
Thoughts: I consistently got greater than 3150 COP to 1 USD on credit card charges vs. The highest I got in MDE for cash was 2890/ USD. I know some of you use ATMs but I didn't and I am guessing exch rate is as good on CC. All restaurants I visited accepted credit cards even some hole in the wall places. Compared to my last visit in 2016 I think more places accept credit cards. One place added a 5% surcharge, a ripoff and the owner used to live in London and spoke English fluently. From then on everywhere I went I asked if they accept credit cards without surcharge. I recommend getting a credit card with no foreign transaction fees. Finally, I want to thank the many contributors on this forum. Your insights and points were invaluable in saving me time and money and I hope I can reciprocate.
