The first time on FC and other cupid sites, I would get chat requests every 5 seconds. The last two times with a subscription, chat doesn't seem to work at all. I get lot's of interest, emails, etc. I am wondering if there is a setting not working, I think I checked pop up settings.

Like shooting fish in a barrel comes to mind.
How does the system work for the girls though? Are they allowed to reply to messages? What sort of limits do they have as a non-paying member?

Even the very few times I initiate a request, I am not getting responses. Still receiving lot's of email. I think there is a pop up setting or something that I am missing. I had luck fishing in a couple of countries with cupid, after the local chat would move to YM, Skype, etc. To weed out the scammers.

I know on Filipino kisses there are some accounts made by girls who will lure you into a paid webcam show. Yes you can report them and this person will be blocked but they will connect to you using their other account (s). There is someone who even send you photos of one of her friend who likes to join her in a webcam show.
Of course we become member to look for search with non professional girls. So we are sometimes a bit dishonest too. LOL.

It is free to send messages and free to receive and open messages. Free members have to wait between sending messages but are able to read all messages they receive and there are no limits on sending interest to members or comments.
It makes sense now...why you don't get replies for some time etc.

Disable the pop up blocker or try using a different browser. If that doesn't sort it then best you contact FC's help desk; I've found they're responsive.

My chat does not seem to work with Chrome. But seems to work with Explorer. Also, and I not sure about this, nowadays the girls are using cell phones and that may restrict their ability to communicate and e-mail. Just a guess. Phones are just not as good as a computer any of this.
Yesterday I found I was unable to logon to OKC. I went through the forgotten-password process and the promised email didn't arrive, so I repeated it a few more times and still nothing. I have never encountered in the Philippines any threats from Filipino men (on the street or acquaintances) apart from one incident last year that recently re-surfaced.
As I described in a previous post, I had been specifically looking for a sponsor type arrangement.
I met a girl in June 2014 in Cebu (as a referral from a chatmate). Very slim, cute 18 yo supposedly a virgin (but in hindsight probably too short). But at the time I was keen. In subsequent internet discussions after I left we agreed to sponsorship on my expectation on a planned Sept trip we would start in earnest. I did send her some money before I arrived so she would have known my real name. September comes around and just before I meet her, I get this abusive threatening message on my real face book profile (not my fake profile) from a guy whose photos and facebook posts showed a tattooed punk. She at the time claimed it was a possessive neighbour wanting to be her BF. All way too complicated for me so I pulled the pin. I did chat with her just recently and she admitted he was her BF but they had split. We agreed to meet on my next trip (which was just recently in August) on a pay per meet basis which suited me just fine. Well just before I was to meet her I get an contact invite request from the guy (using his real name) on YM (although I didn't accept it and he didn't send me any messages). So I didn't go ahead and meet her. It was not worth the risk.
What upset me about this incident was getting the message on my real facebook profile. Although the public can't see my friends, the security around facebook is so stuffed up that upon further investigations I realised the public could see who was following you (I have also turned this off now). Likewise on linked in, the public can't see my connections but it has the section next that shows "people also viewed" so it would not be difficult to link into your network.
You hear a lot about cyber scams. But not so much about cyber blackmail based upon someone threatening to expose you. If I was some punk (and I hope there is none reading this to give them ideas) it would be a lucrative income.
Maybe it further justifies never sending money which forces you to reveal your real name.
