If you have had your fill of downtown Bangkok, try Banglamphu, where the backpackers hang out. There isn't much action in that area per se but just outside of it watch out! I lived on Soi Rimklong on the canal by Phra Atit.
I found the best massage parlor down Soi Song. In there they have about 15 girls and all of them know massage. For freelancing, they do it in the rooms or will go to your hotel room or apartment. The cost a short time ago was 1,000 baht for the night. The girls come from all parts of the country: Nong Khai, Chanta Buri, Lop Buri to name a few. All of them are clean and don't cause any trouble.
Across the river is a number of massage parlors the best being the Chao Phraya III, a huge place catering to Thai businessmen and military. The cost is about 2,000 baht for two hours but you get the tub, massage, boom-boom and anything else you want. The girls are from age 19 to 45. There must be 300 of them there.
I had my 59th birthday in one along Pin Klao avenue. Noi II's number was 69. She gave a massage and then played with you. After that, Noi got on top and you got to do her doggy style afterwards. A rewarding present.
Then there's the Snow White massage in Pin klao where I had a girl from Chiang Mai. She gave some of the best head I've ever had. Of course, there's always someone else who will improve on it. Anyway, Son and I had a weekly thing. This was a girl who liked to fuck.
There's a number of massage parlors in the Banglamphu area. Of course, there's the Chao Phraya I and II which are very nice. And don't forget the Sweetheart Massage off Sukhumvit at Soi 5 or 7. Mama always treated me right.
Or you might try Tina"s place off Sukhumvit Soi 22. Lots of girls who will rub you back and feet for starters. They have a room upstairs but why use it when there is a convienient bed and breakfast nearby for the whole night?
Don't forget the Texas Lone Staar where they serve American food and the girls are nice. Very close to Tina's. I miss the place but Puerto Rico will do for now.

If you are soi 4, Annies is the place (providing you find a girl you like). If not, cross the street on the other side of Sukh, soi 5 are a few Traditional massage places (just before you hit Gullivers) where you will be offered a HJ, soi 7 is the Beergarden and New Wave, cool bar/pool place full of FLs.
Soi 7/1 is Eden Club, MAgic Tables, and a couple massage places.

This is odd... you are going to the Black/Arab area (soi 3 to 5 + Nana) and yet complain that there are too many of them?
It would be like going to Chinatown in New York and complaining that there are too many asians.
Once you pass Sukhumvit soi 13, going north, you will no longer see any Blacks/Arabs as they tend to hang out in the Lower sukh.
Now I have been here 5 years and NEVER had any problems, I also sometimes eat in restaurants between soi 3/5, never had a problem.

Its not too far away.
There are some good ones on soi 5 that have big signs inside that say "No sexual services". And its were you get a really good TTM. As you enter the soi and just past foodland start looking on the RH side, down a sub soi.
Or, you can try "Praew Beauty and Spa", which is just before the entrance to soi 8 as you are walking up from soi 4 on the same side. You pass Nana BTS, 8 Cafe etc. And just before you get around the corner into soi 8 you will see a small place with lots of water wheels etc. Adorning its entrance. Superb place for foot massage or TTM/Oil massage. They are all northern girls (Chiang Mai/Rai etc.) and most are excellent at massage (real massage).

Same, noticed an increase and whilst they may be up to no good, I've never had a problem, and continue to frequent the area.

Is it safe to assume the bars and entertainment areas will be closed in BKK/Pattaya etc on nites of 12/4 - 12/5 for the holiday and back to normal on the 6th?
Any insight appreciated, as I have not been here over this particular holiday.

Thx[/QUOTE]They won't be closed, although it is techincally illegal for them to sell alcohol on the Kings birthday, but you will notice that a lot of the Thai's will leave for the weekend, especially the FL's on beach road. Also things probably won't be back to normal until December 8, because the 7th is a Thai holiday in honor of the King's birthday, because it falls on a weekend.
