Sosua Reports

I was watching Mad Money tonight. Jim Cramer had an interesting interview with the CEO of Zoo Travel, which has seen tremendous upturn recently in stock valuation. I was curious about the stock and company and found some wonderful deals in Sosua.

Casa Marina Beach Resort is having a huge sale. They're offering deals from $26. $59 per night for 3 star accommodations. For this price you really can't beat it. Its location is great and only a few blocks away from all the Sosua action. But bringing chica's into the resort may cost extra and provide an inconvenience factor.

It's a great idea for an extended 1 on 1 with your novia, but not for the warrior monger. Plenty of deals to be had in Sosua.

It did remind me of the last time I entered the New Garden though. I normally avoid the place. Something about the layout of the place reminds me of an open prison or mental hospital (and some of the guests reinforce those ideas) but on this occasion I went round there to meet someone I had exchanged friendly posts with and who wanted to meet me.

Wandered in, sat down, ordered a round for all at the table, and two security guards came over and demanded 1000 peso cover fee as a non-resident. I am not suggesting the management devised or condoned this attempted scam but they are responsible for the actions of their security staff.

Needless to say that hotel has not received a peso from me since at the bar. Anyone else I meet we do it any venue in Sosúa except there.

2. Will girls let me take pictures of them on the street, in the clubs, on the beach, and in the bedroom?

"Yes, but film only. Digital cameras don't work in the DR."

Go digital all the way. Only been to Sosua twice, but have over 300 digital photos. Most important, ask the girls first!

Depends on your taste, Passion and Classico are quite different venues. You could do Passion in the afternoon and Classico in the evening; would be a nice blow out birthday.

4. Do they still have the bikini contest at New Garden on Sundays?

"Yes, but you need to register in advance and pay the fee to the guard out front. $20 USD."

It is not every Sunday, last time I was there it was once a month, and it is 20 bucks for hotel guests. Just e-mail the hotel and they will let you know.

i suppose one of the biggest advantages of going to bb, or passions is that you wouldn't have to worry about that stuff.[/quote]i card almost all of them except the ones that are clearly over 18. when in doubt, card them. i do this for my wingmen too as i speak spanish. some of the chicas will use their friend, sister, mother's id, etc. look closely at the photo on their cedulas (pronounced like: said-you-lah) the government issued cedulas are actually fairly well done by american standards. if the cedula appears damaged or altered, toss her. if she looks young and claims she lost her id, toss her. many of the night security staff at the chica friendly hotels in town will not let her in without a cedula or if they think its not her i'd. plus, the younger chicas generally aren't as much fun as a slighter older ones in their early 20's, for the most part. ymmv. be safe.

so my answer is, in the absence of other reliable evidence, to leave a "safety margin" and go for chicas who look at least 22.

i imagine it is extremely rare for anyone to get into trouble for having sex with post-pubescent chicas where both parties were willing, but your big danger is getting "set up" by the chica along with her chulo / or a bent cop / or a bent lawyer. however unlikely that may be, the consequences are so severe, and your chances of pleading innocence so remote, that you should never chance it.

for what its worth, i supose i'll attempt to id every girl as well. as for as only have sex with girls that look older than 21, attempting to do that would be very hit or miss. when dealing with women of african / latin decent, as i stated earlier, once some of these girls turn 15, 16, its damn near impossible to tell how old they are by looks alone. there asses and tatas are so big / round / curvy they could just as well be 23, 24, 25. plus you would miss out on a lot of good pussy.

The game is to be sold, not to be told.[/QUOTE]This was something I saw coming several years ago and I remember wanting to enjoy Sosua as much as possible before the wife beater crew would come along and "make it rain" in Clasicos. When I first came to the Puerto Plata area, the novelty was still there and you felt like Michael Jordan walking the streets. It didn't take much effort to get some ass by just hanging out with a chica and showing her a good time. The internet spreading trip reports and pics, now Youtube vids, and cheap flights from places like NYC on carriers like Jet Blue pretty much changed the scenery. It wasn't this dramatic but it reminded me of how I saw the US housing crisis forming before me as cheap available money / loans changed neighborhoods.

As far as overpaying, what do you expect when you have people with a pocket full of money and nothing to offer (not even convo) but their money and they often rationalize by saying "well its about what it would cost back in the ATL." These are the same folks that teach people in these other countries about propinas. In CR, the white guys on pensions had this same effect on the putanomics and economy, in general.

I also agree with the statement about white guys probably preferring other destinations because of the type of women and I would add the availability of resources. As some of you know, Sosua pales in comparison to the talent in other parts of the DR. In fact, I've had better looking Dominicanas in CR than Sosua. I think many of the older AA Mongers that have loot still travel to Rio, which is head and shoulders above Sosua in terms of talent. White guys tend to like the lighter skin and Asian babes so they go to those places. A place like the Del Rey in CR crushes anything I've seen in the DR in terms of diversity and talent level. MDE is also big now and the women tend to be much finer than what you will find in a place like Sosua.

Some of the places cost a lot more and take longer to get to, which may not make them as desirable to some people. However, when you go to these others places you tend to see a lot more white guys and they tend to have loot and maybe even own business. You see some blacks as well in this same mode. But whites tend to have the numbers which probably shouldn't be a surprise when you consider the economics here in the USA. When I say white, I'm talking about Americans only.
