Ask the girl. Robinson / Harrison in Malate would be my best guess but you will still pay more then you pay at the muslim market in AC. Few other markets further away would have it but its not worth the time and the taxi fare.

If you search Quezon City you get a specific list.

If you search QC (the abbreviation of the above) you will get different names of women living in the same place.

If a girl puts Cubao, Quezon City or Cubao, QC, as her location, then that really confounds things.

There is Pasig and also Pasig City. Both yield different lists, as do each of the cities that you might input.

BTW, just for interest, the major focus areas (cities) are (reading from north to south (roughly speaking because some of them are on the same East-to West line) :

Kalookan (aka Caloocan) ; Navotas; Valenzuela; Malabon; QC; Marikina; San Juan; Manila; Mandaluyong; Pasig; Makati; Taguig; Pateros; Pasay; Paranaque; Las Pinas; Muntinlupa.

It is about 1 block in size and packed with stalls selling just about anything, lots of clothes, shoes, swimming attire, etc. It seems a number of the vendors are Muslim Pinays, which given the locale and items they sell, always makes me smile!

We don't normally respond to newbs first round of questions. We aren't snobby, but we typically answer questions from people who have already been to PI and posted a Field Report. We don't normally respond at all to non-paying members questions. We do typically respond to PM's for newbs. There is good reason for this. 1) Newbs, who can easily afford the $20 to buy a subscription (they are, after all, able to afford an airline ticket and hotels in RP) , are too cheap to do so. Further on, did not notice Muslim type vendors. Maybe 15/20 mini stalls in total. Don't know if this one is called Muslim Market, doubt that, non muslim sellers are the majority. Well, at least majority are not wearing head scalfs, long dresses and did not come across to me as the reverent Muslim types. I have bought there on at least four occasions for Angeles and Cebu girls. Nothing like it in Cebu, I am told. Sexy skimpy dresses, shoes, bra's, all manner of things for Hookers and brazen hussies. Did not notice bikinis, but wasnt looking for them either.

When I bought something sexy there for a gal, she told me similar but better items on sale somewhere in McArthur Highway, don't know spefically where. But reckon it would be near the t intersection of Fields and McArthur Hwy, close to hookers. If its sexy gear, suggest ask one of the girls or mama-sans for location of biggest range, and good prices. Most of Real St vendors have identical items. Real St one is convenient location and obviously caters for ladies wanting to look sexy, at a modest price. Better quality items, and most probably slightly higher priced ones at places like McArthur, I suppose. At Real St, you can bargain re price, and Westcoast / Enternational, no need to give a tip, LOL.

Native style markets we are talking about commence on left hand side few metres up Real St. As they mostly have identical items, yes you can bargain with them. Bring a copy of the Koran with you, and the first 2/3 Muslim traders on your left might give you a nice discount, LOL.

If I am not mistaken, the pic posted with the report is listed as Terminal 1 but sure looks like the newer Terminal 3.

Unfortunately, it will not help those flying back from MNL in January. :(

1) Does the departure fee have to paid in Cash only? Or do they accept credit cards?

2) For departure, how much time should I budget to clear Immigration etc? My flight leaves at 12.25 pm on a weekday.

If I reach the Airport at 10.30 am, does that give me enough time to catch my flight?

After one of my recent trips (when I was tired, broke, semi drunk LOL) I got to the x ray machine and was somewhat frustrated that there were no bins for putting a pc or belt or shoes in. I asked the guard what the departure fee was for, as there were no bins, escalators, and moving walkways were all turned off. Truth is no one knows why we pay it, but we do.

Long time back in the old airport, you used to have to rent a trolley.

One worthy jounalist worked to find out where the money went. It was determined to be a charity that was registered as a charity.

However, the owner of the charity was found to be an ex Head of Manila Police and he was given the right to collect the trolley money for 5 years as a means of "thanks for doing a good job".

So who knows where the departure fee really goes.

Doesn't matter if it is Terminal 1, 2 or 3. The travel tax was levied on ALL international flights.

I agree with the BM who asked why the "fee" isn't included in the ticket price as occurs in most other countries and has been for years.
It adds significantly to the already distressing Philippines airport experience to have to line up (again) to pay a 200 or 750 peso fee.
Oh well.

Another human is employed and that is a good thing in a country like the Philippines.

Speaking of airport. The meter taxi line at mnl terminal 3 has become extremely long. I patiently waited once, but flying in from Cebu I took the fixed rate to malate at 530. On the meter it is about 200.
