Hi,
I RTFF an the reports of distinction related to Pattaya most of them are great and helpful. But since I will not be free to take a "guest" to my hotel (just do not ask why, please.) I wandered if there is a place like Tulip in BKK also in Pattaya.
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

Allright ppls, I'm heading out to Pattaya in the next two weeks, and want to scope out the boards and soak up as much from the veterens as possible. I read here that the going rate for sexual services in nearly 3000 baht, but other sites are claiming 500-1000. 500 for short time, and 1000 for long time.

I'm on a budget, so I'm wanting to know the cheapest GF friendly rooms to stay. (I'll doub le check the hotel report). Would it be adviseable to get into a backpack hostel for the main stay and when I want to bring home a GF, just rent out the hotel for those nights?
All I want is sleep, sex, repeat.
Also, how do I rent a car without a Thailand Driver Licence? Is it really neccessary for Pattaya?

I'm looking at the Jomtien hostel for my stay in Pattaya. It's 8USD a night. I'll be in Pattaya for about 4-6 months, could you people sugest a place that's even cheaper? A friend told me that 8USD is too much, and that a mid-class worker makes 8USD as a daily wage. He then told me that you can hire a "guard" (tour guide?) from the bank that has connections and can get you places to stay for 2USD a night!
I'm just looking for A / C and a bed. Internet would be nice, too.

Disregarding the usual quality discussion on the Pattaya Board, I was hoping for a bit of input from you.
Am about to head to Pattaya, haven't been back for about 18 months, but reading back on the forum I wanted to get a sense of price inflation which seems rampant.
My usuals:
- Beach Road: S / T 500 Bhat (I don't L / T from Beach Road)
- Beer Baar: 300 to 500 Bhat for Bar Fine, Bhat 500 S / T, Bhat 1, 000 L / T.
- Go-go: 500 to 700 Bhat for Bar Fine, Bhat 1, 000 S / T, Bhat 1, 500 to Bhat 2, 000 L / T.
In terms of go-gos, I was often pushing up against the Bhat 2, 000 for L / T on my last trip, but that was eighteen months ago. Reading back through this thread it sounds like either there has been massive price inflation, or, someone is payint too much, or, whatever.
Can I get a sound check on going rates for L / T in particular for Beer Bars and Go / Gos please? (For someone who can say saw-dee-cup, etc but doesn't speak that much Thai.)

But, I think you and DDD Cups need to read the forum before you post. There was actually nothing in my post that was negative. I posted my opinion about the % of girls from my experience that are in this hobby because they are desperate. D Cups attacked it. He then responded with what a great travel resume he has, which actually is not that great. I am retired, with plenty of funds, and have traveled to many more the places than he has over the past year or so. That is mostly what I do, travel and fuck. Both you and him attacked me with negativity. Why? Just because I had an opinion based upon my experience.
Also, if you are not on the other site then I apologize. There is another dude on there that gives the same unique responses as you. Maybe he is just from the same country.
Also, if you check my previous posts, I do try and provide information to others who have questions. My travel experience is vast, and the least I can do is share some information to try and help others.

Also soi 6 are all short time bars, among many, many others in Pattaya.

In manila, I'm pretty bored during the day when I ain't mongering. I still haven't figured out what I'm going to be doing in BKK during the day. In Pattaya, I'll probably want to do some type of beach related activities.

We don't know where original poster is coming from, but unless he's starting in Asia there is jet lag to consider. I know he loves the Philippines, but my counsel would be to save that destination for another trip and add the four days to his Thailand stay. With nine nights in country, he should start in Pattaya and stay for, say, six days. Then back to BKK for the final three days. This results in a trip that's 2/3 Pattaya and 1/3 Bangkok, which is my preferred ratio. It also makes it easier to fly out of BKK, especially if he's departing late at night or early in the morning. As for the LK Renaissance in Pattaya, it's a fine hotel, but it can be noisy.

But it's a *bus* and it doesn't run 24 hours a day. So it's not the most comfortable ride and depending on when you want to travel the schedule could be a problem. Finally, there have been anecdotal reports of the police at the bus station hassling guys they size up as sex tourists by searching their belongings, ostensibly for kiddie porn. But if you can live with those drawbacks, the bus is economical at 200 baht each way.
If you're willing to spend 1000 each way you can hire a car. From Pattaya back to Bangkok you might be able to hire a car for 100-200 baht less than that.
Mr. T's taxi service gets rave reviews, but I've never done business with them. I have used the VR Taxi Service:

Yes, I just did some days in BKK and now am in Pattaya (anyone want to get together, PM me). Next trip to LOS I will either do just BKK or just Pattaya. Its a pain to be packing up and moving from one place to another. There is so much to do in each venue, IMHO no reason to be switching back and forth.
Looking at the news in Australia there is reported flooding likely to impact BKK and to the east.
Everything normal in SUkhumvit and around Pattaya? Visiting this week and wondering if I should amend plans.

Since many other vacation spot, especially in the North are flooded, lots of locals came here to Pattaya for the weekend. No problem in Pattaya and Sukhumvit was OK when I left yesterday, but high tide is late next week and that's what everyone is worried about.
