Ok I have finally finished the update of the Bubba Boy guide. Came in at 55 pages, so a bit smaller. More of an update of prices rather than much new. Will post on the weekend.

I've read it before and skimmed through it again just now. It covers just about everything you need to know about mongering in Rio.
Every newbie should study it thoroughly, and it's also a must-read for any Rio veteran.

I missed that part. Very fun to read and also very true.
Eating comida a quilo at Aipo Aipim can easily cost you R$20-30, which is quite absurd.
In Centro there are many cheap options. Some lunch restaurants have all you can eat for a cheap price. They are mostly frequented by simple workers. The quality is decent. It's very impressive to see how the lunch guests manage to pile up giant plates of rice, beans, faroffa, spaghetti, fries, chicken and meat.
In nordeste it's way much cheaper to have lunch. You can have a decent lunch for R$5.
I love just about all brazilian food, but I had a typical nordestino dish two weeks ago that was quite different, mocotó. It's like a stew made of the hoof from a cow. Quite tasty.
Another fabulous update to the best resource you can find on mongering in Rio. Congratulations.
I'm not sure if Bubba has me on ignore (no offence. I know I can inadvertently upset someone occasionally without even knowing it) , but I don't seem to get a reply.
However, one small point on the international airport. The Rio Airport bus ('Real') is now Rs12, not 8. 50. Just turn right coming out of the airport building, the bus stop is at end of the kerbside parking area. *Also, miraculously and I don't know how long it will last, but *one* of the taxi booths, off to the left past the others, is actually charging normal prices, I couldn't fathom it. Domestic GIG arrivals are as bad as the worst at international. Their price list had Copa at Rs99. Roughly double the proper metered and published fare.

There will be some stragelers at the Balcony but as usual noting to write home about. Things will be okay after the holiday. This applys to any holiday in Brazil.
VM will be open. But holidays, like weekends only more so, are a good time to have made advance arrangements privately with girls.

Hard to keep up with them all. I don't have you on ignore, I just don't log on anymore. I think I log on once a month or so and then most Pm's subjects have expired. For the record I have about 3 people on ignore, one has to be a complete asshole to make it onto my ignore list.
I see residents are actually protesting *against* an extra Metro stop in Ipanema. Apparently it will mean "removing trees vital for the area's air quality, and bringing in people *from outside the neighbourhood*"
Do they mean people who don't carry less than Rs50 notes, or just dirty filthy mongers and the establishments they like to visit? . Actually Ipanema would be quite a nice area to monger in if it had three Metro stops and some nice reasonable privées.
Not to mention an infrastructure for the Olympics.

A further point on which these offer excellent value, especially the best ones listed by Bubba and Sperto, is that when you book an hour the girl is probably more than adept at filling it. I mean in terms of inventive foreplay, decent massage, and GFE sexuality and sensuousness. The VM and 1R a minute girls in the walk-ups (and some of the tier 1 termas in my own limited experience) can be rather poor at this, so taking them home can be a wasted experience unless it is purely for their looks (I'm not too interested in conversation unless it's sexual foreplay related). The privê girls have a reputation to build and keep. Speaking of which, I'd add my own commendation for Bia of Duda's to those of others.
