I am aware there are reports on various punter boards of Russian FLers in discos and on Beach Road, but these mistaken or deliberate wind-ups. The attractive Russian girls you see out and around in Pattaya are tourists, not working girls, and most have very tough boyfriends who won't hesitate to use their fists on anyone propositions their girlfriends.

I waked up around noon. Came outside to eat, the weather is really hot. The beach is less than a minute walk. Sat down on a chair looking out to the beach (you have to pay for the chair, one fixed price for the rental service) and asked the lady taking care of the rental chair to get me a coconut and some fresh crabs. Comparing price, crabs ordered from the street is half the price in the restaurant just across the street. It was so hot even though there's light wind. I decided to go back to the hotel. Farang are almost never bothered during such raids. It's the Thais and sometimes Africans who are searched and tested.

But Lucifer's in Pattaya is well-known as a scene for serious dealing. That's much more of an attraction for many of its patrons than the music or FL girls. There is always a risk of raids in such places and one day, the Thai cops will decide to check everyone on site for any traces of dope. Anyone caught is going to be in for a world of pain.

Bottom line: avoid anyplace with back-room dealing.

Am presently in Suvarnabhumi Airport having left Pattaya this morning. I hadn't been there in a couple of years, but this is probably my last time in Pattaya. The entire feel of the city has changed radically. Full of families, Arabs, Indians, Chinese and Russians. The Marriott (staying there was the best part of the trip highly recommended if its within your budget), has a cute Russian girl working there just to deal with all the Russian tourists. Signs are in Russian. Cutest girls are Russian (all with large boyfriends). Greg's kitchen has Russian menu. I suppose its just another sign of the decline of the West. Anyway my future trips to LOS will probably just be to BKK.

Living in BKK I used to make the trek to the beach at least once a month. The changing demographics have kept me away. Of course the same is true with Lower Sukhumvit as well. Not so many Russians or Chinese, but plenty of the other.

The Pattaya trend you lament is just demographics and world economic change at work. Add in airline deregulation and targeted aggressive TAT marketing. Poof! You have an international low budget destination that mirrors the rest of the world.

Modern Pattaya, the whoor house version, came into being as an R & R destination for American troops fighting in Viet Nam. Same for Patpong in Bangkok. Now people complain when the US Navy comes to town. Deja vu.

If it weren't for the Arabs, Indians, Chinese and Russians, (and Turks, Malaysians, Japanese, etc.) , there would be little left of Pattaya, except for a few grim beer bars and 40 year old go-go dancers coupling with a bunch of drooling old white men spending their pensions!

The West is not declining. Like it or not, it is just becoming ethnically diverse (and poorer). Welcome to the 21st Century!

Now it's just overcast during the daytime. Medium sized crowds, not too many punters or much overcrowding in the GoGos.

Thu / 13 Nov ditty:

- 1:30 pm I check out Soi 6, selection seemed limited and hardly any cuties. Going from WS (Walking Street, where my hotel's located) to / from Soi 6 the Beach Road (aka Coconut Bar) selection is anemic.

- 9 pm I'm at Worldwide AGoGo on Beach Road (between Soi 7 & 8) and am pleasantly surprised by the selection. A few hot spinners I would love to barfine if I had the financial means (nowadays I ST / LT only FLs to avoid barfines). Going from WS to / from Worldwide AGoGo there seemed to be the best Coconut Bar selection around 8:30 pm, not so much at 10:30 pm.

- 12 midnight I'm at Lucifers when the drug raid happens. Bummed I didn't have a chance to find a FL there, I go to Insomnia which has 50% off all drinks from 11 pm. 1 am (for Insomnia upstairs, not their iBar downstairs which I mistakenly thought it applied to; iBar's happy hour is 8 pm. 10 pm). Insomnia's dead and one of the rare times it's a club sausage fest (in Pattaya generally the girls outnumber the guys, that + the girls being mostly P4P + it's free entrance / cheapish drinks is the reason Pattaya is my favorite place worldwide to go clubbing).

- Previous 3 nights I picked up Baht 1, 000 FLs from Insomnia / iBar around 4. 6 am, but didn't want to try again this night. 3 am I ask a WS FL 25 why / o single mom how much and she says ST Baht 1, 000, LT Baht 2, 000. I walk down Coconut Bar and soon find an ok FL who wants ST Baht 700, LT Baht 1, 300. I keep walking down Beach Road and around Central Festival Mall I find another 25 why / o single mom who says ok to ST Baht 500, LT Baht 1, 000. We head to my hotel for ST she wanted (I tell escorts "up to you, you want ST 500 or LT 1, 000" and they decide which since it doesn't matter much to me). Cute face but her pregnancy wasn't kind to her breasts / stomach what with all the wrinkles (I don't even know if a C-section or natural birth causes that). Hard to argue that the increasing diversity of the world, and the change in the ratio of mongers to holidayers is a sign of western decadence and decline.

It appears to me as if those who previously visited Pattaya, now can't afford it. The economic decline of the West is a fact. The USA is certainly going down the tubes, and I don't see that changing with the clowns who are running things in Washington. Much the same can be said for England and much of Europe. Be that as it may, I don't get the same feeling of radical change in BKK as I do in Pattaya. So I'll leave the place to you Pattaya lovers and stick to BKK thank you very much.

I booked a business class air ticket on ANA connecting in Hanada to Thai Air's Royal Silk Class for only 75000 United miles. For those with airline miles to use and a flexible schedule, this seems like a really good deal.

I've spent some time in BKK and have written many reports in the past but not really spent much time in Pattaya. From what I read, Windmill seems to have the raunchy shows. I'm looking to see some really nasty stuff. A friend told me she saw a girl shoot a small bird & some fish from her pussy but not in Pattaya. Has anyone seen anything like this in Pattaya? If so, where & what was the cost?
