Under the heading "Threads in Forum: Thailand" you will find "Announcement: Thailand FAQ". Try this first. It will also give some hints on searching.

Sometimes there is no obvious word/words for a search, so when all else fails ask your very specific questions. But lets hope you have done a bit of searching and general browsing first. But sure its not always easy to find something specific.

in the past, i would catch the airport express bus on suk and head straight to don muang airport. on this trip, with the new airport and a late afternoon departure, i thought i would take my time and save a few baht (not that a few bahts matter much to me, but i want to experience an alternate route to see for myself and to report it to other punters).

i got on the skytrain at asoke station (soi 19 & suk), got off at last stop on nut (25 baht). then went down to street level and waited for the #552 orange-colored bus that goes to the suvarn airport bus terminal. 15 mins later, a #552 shows up, boarded, paid less than 20 baht. journey time: skytrain ride (10mins), wait time for #552 (15 mins), bus ride (45 mins), airport free shuttle from bus terminal to dep level (10 mins), all in...1hr and 20 mins, at a total cost of about 40 bahts. cheap and relatively quick and hassle free. the #552 was only 1/3 full and is fully a/c. i found this option is better than waiting for the airport express ae3 bus because sometimes one could wait up to an hour (happened to me in the past) for one of these airport express buses to show up. whereas the #552 runs on regular frequency of about every 15 mins.

suk fl's:

Wops! forgot to include the bus schedule for Pattaya AC bus departing from Suvarn Airport Bus Terminal.

I was able to get the nice lady behind the window to write down for me all the buses departing from the Airport Bus Terminal going to Pattaya. The times include both bus co's that operate in the Bus Terminal, and the cost is about 110 baht each, give or take 10 bahts.

Now, from my own experience, I would say give yourself at least one hour from the time your plane touch down at the airport till you arrive at the bus terminal. It might even be longer if you're waiting for baggage to arrive. So give yourself plenty of time.

You must have been there on a few great nights - I stayed at the Nana from August to December and rarely saw a night that had more than 40-50 girls (ladyboys not included!) -and many far fewer than that. I was mongering in BKK for the first time for three days last week and I did some stupid things which I hope by sharing them here others would not do the same.

Day 1

I arrived in BKK airport at around 11pm and took the taxi to President Park Hotel at Sukhumvit Sol 24. The driver wanted BHT450 and I thought it was reasonable and so agreed. However, I did not realise the toll charge was not included and therefore ended up paying BHT 450 + BHT 75 (toll charge) + BHT 50 (tip for the driver which I did not want to pay but there was no change) = BHT 575.

Things not to do 1 – always use the meter. On the way back to the airport I paid BHT 220 + BHT 50 (toll charge) + BHT 80 (again this is because there was no change) = BHT 350.

Things not to do 2 – the President Park hotel was at the bottom of Sol 24 which is about BHT 50 taxi ride from Sol Cowboy. The hotel itself was pretty good and cheap but the place is just too inconvenient.

I went to Midnite at Sol Cowboy on my first night, had some beer for BHT 70 each and watched some dancing. The place was a lot more quite than I expected. I picked a girl called Joy for LT for BHT 3000 plus BHT 700 bar fine. Joy had a petite and almost perfect body (only if her boobs were a bit bigger). Things not to do 5 – forget Patpong as a mongering place. NP, Sol Cowboy and Sukhumvit area are cheaper, better and much less of a tourist trap.

I wish I had more time in BKK as I wished I had time to visit the soapy again, sample the BJ bars in NP and took a few SW back to the hotel. At the end, my body just could not manage all the things that are on offer in this wonderful city.

A). Any of the bar area's in BKK have plenty of girls who would fit that bill. Just ask the mammasan what you want.

D). Depends, can be from 500 to 5000. The average seems to be about 2000-3000 for all night in your hotel.
