HI Guys.
Heading off to Jakarta 2 nite. I asked my hotel, le meridien what's their policy for overnight guests (ofcourse with a fake I'd), and they have not replied yet. Since the room is going to be paid by company, I do not want them to have a bill reflecting double occupancy.
Any help would be appreciated.
UTD.
Hotel bills do NOT show single or double occupancy.
Le Meridien definitely doesn't have two prices, it has one price per room not for occupants. I've stayed there many times.

Thanks
Thanks freebie
Those checkpoints used to be a lot worse years ago but now they've gone down a bit with the whole anti-corruption theme.
If they smell the money, they'll get greedy. One way they'll know is if they check through your wallet, which is what they usually do.
The way it works is 50 for each officer. If they ask for more, just tell them it's all you have and show your empty wallet. They'll let you go. Of course, if you give them nothing and it's not a busy night, they may detain you.
This is perfect advice. In that situation, as soon the police stop the taxi, I switch most of the money out of my wallet just in case. However, I've never been pulled over with a high priced CJs hooker in the car with me. I've always been alone when it happened. They are going to assume you have the money to pay that girl, so you are in a worse situation than being alone. 500 k is too much though even with that girl in the car. I would think 200 k should be the max. I've normally given them 50 k or 100 k. There was one time though where there were 4 police officers and mine was the only car around. I gave them 200 k that night (50 k for each guy as egymonger said). Then there are other times when I played dumb long enough that they just let me go (I never speak a word of bahasa to them and act like I don't understand), but that is when they are stopping many cars and have plenty of other choices to scam.
Fortunately you didn't miss much by not taking her.
You're talking about that busty one, right? With the dark skin stationed next to the bar on entrance? Yes, she told me about being a student in that same school.
She said the same thing too, she "liked" me and that the price would be 1.5 "just for me" (short time). So I took her to my place. She wouldn't change to any other position except missionary. Only gave a crappy 5 minute blowjob with a condom (wouldn't do without, which is unheard of in this city). Needless to say, I only gave her 300 and kicked her out even as she threatened she'll call the cops on me, what a nave little girl.
Awesome. If every guy would do the same to those girls, service would improve and prices would come down.

Passport
That's their standard scam. That happens fairly frequently, especially close to and during Ramadan. If you play dumb, you can get out of it sometimes. But most times I pay the bribe and head on my way.
That's why I always carry a copy of my passport with me. I don't like walking around with the real thing. Even for local flights a copy is sufficient ID.

Room occupancy
Hotel bills do NOT show single or double occupancy.

Eddie
The information Fast Eddie is always posting here, can be easily found elsewhere on the web. If that helps others, fine, but I doubt he's genuine.
I have long ago decided that this guy is a one-handed typist who has never left the safety of his keyboard. Living in America and using such hopeless grammar? He's simply copy-pasting information from other people's posts.
This will undoubtably result in a flood of abuse from our friend <grin> .

Have only 3 evenings that too with an aussie colleague (who is not into this stuff) and so much to do, malioboro and maribaya. Fortune is too tempting and easy but at the sae time as per seniors its a hit and miss but still will be going for the same with the biggest room.
Lets see how it goes.
Again a big thanks to all.
UTD.
Don't fully understand your post. I have had multiple people in my room at that particular hotel and others without any problems.
IMHO, most business hotels don't bother guests if a room is registered as a single if the second party does not try to get a free breakfast or charge to the room. Just pay for dining separately. If you are on a club floor, just take your guest elsewhere for happy hour.
Out of curiosity, I took a look at the SPG site. Standard rooms are the same price for 1 or 2 but club rooms are different.
YMMV. I actually had guests meet on club floor lounges / restaurants and not get charged extra.
I also always get 2-3 key cards.

Spend a little and find a safe clean hotel near to yours stock it well and fuck your brains out!
Not to mention the walk of shame stuff. You never know who you meet at nice hotels, when you meet them in less nice well then they share your desires I am to bet!

Regards,
Ko.
In many cases, carrying a copy will not prevent them from shaking you down. I make a copy of my passport ID page as well as a copy of the immigration stamp upon arrival. I always carry that copy with me and show it to them every time. However, the police will say "What's this? No, no no no no. We need your real passport. "
My bet is that even if you have your actual passport, they will come up with some excuse that you have done something wrong and they can "help you" if you help them with some money. Sometimes they have let me go, but most of the time they don't. I don't have all night to sit there and debate with them, so I just pay and go on my way.

PP.
Like many of us travellers weve stayed in 1 to 5 star properties many many times. The bill always just shows room, tax, service charge. Never a mention of one or two people. It really doesn't matter to hotel billing whether its one or two.
If there was ever a mistake a smile and " could you please indicate one person" would suffice.
Theres only a walk of shame if you allow there to be.
If you hold your head up act confident and smile, who cares what a bunch of strangers think about your playmate.

Finallly
Hi all.
Finally arrived in jakarta. Have to attend a boring cocktail party and will be free by 8. Will then come, change and go. Have not released since a week and dying to do a COF or CIM. My mind is shifting between maribaya and malioboro. Guys could you please tell me where can I get that in guarantee after confirming with the gal. I am asking because from where I come from (Mumbai) chicks say yes to everything and then not even a fucking dfk. (sometimes ofcourse).
Thanks again.
