It is true that opportunities in SR that you find in Thailand (and even PP) don't come close. But I disagree that there is "no scene" in SR. I haven't been "on the hunt" there for several years, preferring the company of a local I've known for a long time and importing a former go go dancer from BKK last year. Years ago, there were a couple of "dance clubs" where a barang could score. One was the old branch of Martini across the river; the other was a small venue in the center of SR. My last "score" was from New Star KTV maybe 5 years ago. Thida, without my expressing interest, volunteered her phone number and name on a slip of paper which she discretely put in my hand. I have absolutely no idea if New Star has survived, but there were quite a few do-able chicks in there. No idea if they were all up for action.

Made a secret silent trip to Phnom Penh recently over the weekend while I was away to Singapore for work trip. Early evening around 7 ish was walking by lanes and stumbled upon this decent looking bar, Hostess sat outside yawned and looked disinterested, walked in place was high end, apparently it was much talked about on this forum mayazone. Cigar and whiskey lounge. Ordered a drink which was affordable but on a higher side compared to city standards. Only guest there with 2 hostesses and a female bartender. Offered a drink to both hostesses and they gladly accepted. Owner maya came in an hour later, beautiful I say end 40's or early 50's woman. Sat with her and had a very nice conversation about Cambodia, she is well travelled herself. Asked the hostess about her plans for the evening and she was available. Finished her shift and had a drink each at a nearby bar and then made it to my room. She was wild in bed, flat no tummy (1 kid popped out) decent breasts and an attitude to keep me happy. Looked like she didn't get any for months, no need for cover and I banged her for good 2-3 hours. Gave her taxi money and she promised to see me in the morning for the whole day. We met at breakfast and she gave me the bad news that she is red, but this did not stop her from hitting my room again. Delivered a non stop BBBJ, in between I tried her virgin ass but it was very small tight and she was scared to death. Promised me for next time and keeps messaging me & wants me to come back. I agree with some punters, this city is slow and relaxed but is anything but Dull!

P.S. - try the hostesses at all bars / restaurants, I believe they are available.

SS.[/QUOTE]Dude before Wuflu the scene wasnt rocking, but when desperate you could find something, especially backpacker girls and a few quality freelancers. One of my top memories was a fab 25 year old freelancer that looked like a supermodel and who I taught how to Yamyam but once the plague arrived poof she was gone.

These days, freelancers are scarce and hideous. The large TVs are shut down the ones on Khmer Pub Street are dead. Loads of ugly trannys on tourist Pub Street. Pretty much all that's left are chicken shacks. Thats what the tourist gets in Siem: chicken shacks. $50 plus transport.

I'm lucky because I live there and can work locals (if I want). But f there is effort involved beyond pulling cash out of my wallet, Ill stick to Backpackers.

And just go to Bangkok, regardless. 7 hour trip $20.

But living 2 miles from the temples well compensates me for the lac of mongering.

Definitely not long for this world as the entire block that it's on is a vast abandoned development site, all fenced up with signs advertising a promised Chinese-built future of luxury condos, but Pontoon is still hanging on, in all it's teeth-rattling bass soundsystem and beefy testosterone dudes on the dance floor. Still a smattering of free-lancers, especially during the Lady's Nights, which are most of the weekdays.

Cyrcee closed down, in its place is Sona Horny Secret Bar, which has much of the same strengths and weaknesses: mainly older bargirls (early to late 30's, a scattering of late 20's), no stunners, but who are very friendly and forward, and very quick to get down to business. You can tell they've been working the scene for awhile, but unlike many of the women in Thailand / Vietnam / etc they still seem friendly and unjaded.

I would recommend Sona to any first-timer in PP as it's a near-guarantee of success. You can figure out how the whole 'walk into bar, spend some time getting the woman a drink and talking a bit, negotiate, then head out the door' system that nearly every other bar uses. Women aren't the hottest but they are friendly and easy-going, and the short-time hotel nearby makes it convenient as well.

Cyrcee actually resurrected itself (or the name anyway) just around the corner from its old location; I walked by in 2024 May, ducked in to avoid a rainstorm, and talked to a 33-year-old barlady there, who I thought was the mamasan but was actually a worker. She was only one on duty besides an attractive young cashier and a very attractive 18-year-old 'original', who barely looked up from her phone. (As discussed in earlier posts, 'originals' are what they call virgins, there to lure customers in, but never really available for outcall unless you are willing to spend a very large amount of money). She looked like trouble to me anyway, so I didn't bother. Wound up taking the woman out to the same short-time hotel around the corner that the Sona staff uses.

Barfines in both Sona and New Cyrcee were $10-$15 depending on night / busy-ness of bar / etc. Shortime fees (which equates to about three hours, so long enough really) was $35-$50 there, but remember that those spots are outside the tourist zones, where fees may be higher (and the women prettier / younger, to be fair). Factor in 1-3 lady drinks (pretty much mandatory in PP) at about $3. 50-$5 each, then the short-term hotel of $8 for three hours, and it adds up.

But a lot of Khmer girls are a little more shy, so I'd say it's not that common? I don't ask for BBFS / CIP but it's probably YMMV. Sex education is pretty low in Cambodia so a lot of the girls may not be too aware of the risks involved. For other tips, lots of info on here already. Riverside area has most of the bars. Street 136 has the biggest, blingiest, with many set up more as KTV-style catering to Chinese / Korean / Japanese tourists, with women who are more there to get the customers drinking. Girls get a percentage of every lady drink price they're bought, and often that's enough $$ for them. No massage spots, no gogo bars, no Thai Friendly, etc. Just the hostess bar scene which will probably be disappointing, as Nyezov notes, but it's rewarding if you have the time and don't mind talking to the women a bit first, getting to know them. A bit of kindness and friendship to the girls (even if its fake) goes a long way there, but most visitors don't have the patience for that. (And there will always be the girls who just want your $$, of course, but maybe not as much of a percentage as in Thailand?

If you're asking about non-P4 P suggestions, there's also Bassac Lane, where the international set goes to drink, flirt and vomit; lots of hipster bars, restaurants, etc, in a convenient walking-street kind of setup. Often local girls and guys there too. A few big malls if you're into that (nothing like BKK of course), and the riverside area can be pretty during sunset / sunrise. Everyone loves a good sunset cruise along the Mekong / Tonle Sap rivers, too.

I went to such a place a few years ago with a couple of Khmer buddies and made a short video. If you are familiar with a Tawang Dang set up in Thailand, you'll know what I'm talking about. A combination variety dinner show / drinking venue open to all. Including mixed groups on dates. In PP, we had one of the servers sit with us for awhile. We were told we could have the girls come sit with us after their set on stage. There were some absolute 7-9's up there. I have no idea about guaranteed availability for take out or prices. I gathered that some will go and some will not.

Darling is worthless because the girls are ugly now or just too expensive? Imo it was one of the few places in PP years ago where you could find half decent looking girls but at double or triple the cost (ie. still cheap). Again, have not been to Darling for a long while.
