Hi all,
Nothing to do with the usual business, but just wanted to share the painful situation I ended up in due to excess alcohol consumption. Am a 40-year old, and have been drinking heavily for the past decade. Recently had a liver function test. It showed normal, and I thought mine was best liver in the world, so continued drinking. But since a month, right leg became jammed and totally painful. Could not stand or sit for log, sleeping was the only position allowed. Walking more than a few steps was mission impossible.
Went to doc who said it is typical case of Alcohol leg / Peripheral neuropathy. (he was like: if you drink so much, you should worry first about your legs. Your liver is anyway much stronger.) After a month of medication (including those jabs in the butt), I am still struggling to "get back on my feet". Worst part: there is no cure for this disease, and you need to take a bunch of medicines until you can actually live with the pain.
Just my two cents to guzzler bros in the forum, to avoid this condition while they can.
