Which tell the phone number registered location and owners name if it can fetch from db.

I have seen its not always successful in getting name but at times it does pull out names.

Whenever I get miss calls from unknown number I do use it to check out at least location

This is about three weeks before but got time to write FR now. My blood was getting hotter and wanted some fun. Called an independent contact which I knew for some time. Basically the sever uses the database of any phone which the app is used if phone book access is provided. So he best part is any unknown / spam caller will have his number with his name is any one person at least with this app installed.

Also even though I have the app installed on my phone, the app's permission to access to my contacts list is set to disabled mode in order to protect the privacy of people whose contacts I have stored on my mobile. What I read somewhere is that the truecaller app has this option disabled by default only on Android phones because Google has a strict policy that apps should not send out info from the contacts list to any external server unless the user explicitly enables it. (What I understood from that article was that this option may be enabled by default in phones with other operations systems. For example IPhones, and the app may actually upload the data that is in your contact list without your knowledge unless you specifically disable the option at the time of installing the app. Something you are very likely to do inadvertently. But I have no means to verify this since I'm not an iPhone user)
