Arrived in Macau. Arraged a shuttle bus with Hotel Rio before hand for $20 MOP, but unfortunately the shuttle ends at 18.05 so I will need to take a taxi back. (approx $80MOP)

What can I say? Hardware is extravaggant, but damn, the bath water was only leukwarm.

Declined bath from girl, as I already know there's no action.

Went into lounge (this was like 16.40) and there was a show immediately.

Chose Model ($2088 MOP No.880 Linlin from Chongqin). She's a stunner, but I think her boobs are very good fake, b/c they felt heavier than usual. I realized I made a mistake as I was looking for a long leg girl, but she was ur typical Chinese girl.

Service... what can I say. There are better Thai bath in TW for 1/3 the price, granted girls are not as young or pretty but better effort and into the deed. I was not aroused the least bit. No kissing and DATY either. Very un-GFE. Big turn off. I finished quickly b/c I was just not in the mood.

Heard there was suppose to be good food here too. Not. Offered me wonton noodle soup only. No menu. Told me nothing else is availble.

Macau sauna are not ideal for a rushed action, that is for sure.
If you want to experience all in a matter of a couple of hours that is not the best, let me tell you.
The "japanese" shower, where a girl will wash you in a small cubicle aside the main pool is meant really to wake up your senses...and wash you too! No sauna will offer you "action" in those preliminary services, not even in the close cabin of the body scrub. At the best she will play a bit with you little head.
You should have gone to see the parade of girls, but not necessarily pick up one immediately.
Maybe better talking to one of the captains in the main lounge to express your wishes. That is the best approach.
I once demanded a shangai massage quoting the girl number (recommended by a friend) and clarified the game with him: I was a happy man at the end, all clear.
Maybe ask for a thigh massage to put you in a very relaxed but excited mood too.
Rio is certainly an expensive establishment. I have freinds joinging me tehre even i fhtey stay at another hotel where there is a sauna (and I have been there too). The Tio environment is great to stay.
certainly for a "fuck & go", the upscale facilities are useless.
I think a Macau sauna has to be taken as an experience of a few hours.
I have been in a TW sauna in Taichung a couple of times and the timeline is certainly different. Not much is spent in the common areas, you go in a room upstair, tiny, not well lit, you are sent a girl (who you can reject, but not chose from a parage), some massage, action...and go.
China saunas I have experienced are a way in between, but still not meant for a long and relaxing stay.
You had 5 hrs and something of free time? you should have taken 4 hrs for the sauna, taking it easy.:)

It is also hard to believe that the shuttle bus ends at 18:05, as even the small shuttles to the Gongbei border run by the smaller casinos run at least until 10 pm, some until 11 and the border closes at midnight.

For the rest I can't comment, because I don't like to spend top dollars.

Actually, I was planning on spending the whole night in Rio, had the "model fuck" been an out of this world experience. I was so horny and wired last night that after I returned to Taiwan last night that I went hunting for a good fuck all night long.

The shuttle that ended at 18.05 is Rio Hotel's own shuttle service. They did charge me $20 MOP. I inquired through emails before end, made reservation, and paid at the front desk to the belle captain when I arrived. I was the only one on the bus on the way in. When I left, at about 19.20, I took the taxi, which cost me $50+ MOP. I gave the driver $60 MOP.

Let me finish the rest of my Rio experience. So after I was sitting there pissed after writing my report. I decided to try to the "thigh massage", which was performed by a viestnamese masseuse. When she heard me complain how disappointed I was, she actually told the managers that I had a bad experience with no.880, but then they didn't do nothing. Thigh massage... I've had better and no HE although I was ready to go again. I even asked the masseuse if she was gonna give me a HE had I add another session. She said no, they don't do that. We had a pleasant converstaion the whoel time. So...

I also saw two pretty hot russian girls as they came out of KTV lounges with their men. Rio was offering another $500 MOP on top of the girl u choose for extra 30 min in the KTV lounge for drinking and singing to get to know each other before you go do the deed in the room. But it was still one pop, so I declined.

Oh yeah, no.880 didn't use the "bath tub" at all, and just used the spa/shower table. It was uncomfortable as hell lying face down on top of that thing. Felt like my neck was gonna snap as she was doing her thing on my back.

On my way out, this is about 40 min I had my wonton noodle soup, the buffet was already "ready". I was like, whadda hell??? Why couldn't the attendent have told me that??? And instead told me nothing was avaible but wonton noodle soup. I spoke Mandarin perfectly.

After I was getting dressed, the barber insisted that he dries my hair for me. Felt like giving the old man some business, and tipped him $30 HK at the end of it.

... above concludes my Rio spa experience. I really doubt I will return.

Now on the taxi, I was telling the driver what a big disappointment the whole exprience, he laughed and gave me some useful tips on my next trip:
1. Go to Zhuhai instead. Cross the boarder, and there are plenty of saunas and better value instead, though not as fancy as Rio. That's what the locals do; they usually don't do the saunas or look for women in Macau.

2.He said Rio is all the hype for nothing. He said mostly he takes people to Fuhao 富豪(I looked it up and it's Beverly Hotel's spa) or Emperor; and that the norm is about $1200 MOP. He really doesn't understand why Rio charges so much, but I guess he would had he seen how fancy it is in terms of hardware and decoration.

3.He said smaller facilities tend to offer better service. For example, he recommended Darling 2(which reminded it's Darling 1 I visited all those years ago, not Honey 1. Sorry.) He said Darling 2's location is quite bad as people have to travel out of their way to get there, so the manager make sure that the girls do the best. He said I should try Darling 2 the next time.

Well. So the search for an out of this world fuck continues. Sigh... really for that amount of money, I could do a japanese soaplady in Japan for 90 min and pop however many times I could in.

The taxi driver was 1/2 right in that you can get better service in Zhu Hai but if you are unlucky to arrive during a crackdown, you may make the trip for nothing and you did have a time constraint.

I have found Supreme Sauna a good deal, the rear time that I decided to go to Macau and stay in a sauna after clubbing instead of renting a hotel room for the few hours I actually sleep. They pick up at the ferry terminal and you don't have to go in straight away. I usually have look at the racetrack at the Lisboa first. You also get to save the price of the ferry tickets on the package at Shun Tak. Food there is OK and I think their specialty is BBQ pork rice. Upgrade are easy by paying extra.

I would never pay the kind of money you did for any type of China gal no matter how hot.

For lushes like me who like a nice cold beer after a session in the lounge. NO Dice at Rio

They do not serve beer in the lounge area. Only way is to buy an overpriced drink package in the session room.

Guess they don't want guys hanging there all night just drinking I guess.

I could be wrong about this so alls I am going by is my experience in trying to order alchohol at Rio. I was a newbie so maybe there are other ways I missed in my communication with papasan.

[/QUOTE]The distance from the Rio Hotel to the ferry is 1.8 km. The price for a metered taxi in Macau is 13 MOP for the first 2 km. If there is heavy traffic with waiting times it can go up a dollar or 2. It is a total mystery to me how you can spend 60 dollars unless it was a hotel limousine. Even from the ferry to the China border, the taxi should not be over 30-35 MOP. Or maybe the driver had a good sense who would be going to spend extra and showed you around Macau (not very likely).

I think he got the scenic route too because even if you cross the bridge to Taipa, I don't think I have ever paid that much for a taxi anywhere in Macau.

Not once since my first post inquiring about the sauna did I ever mention I was arriving via "ferry" this trip; I believe I said I was arriving into the MACAU AIRPORT. So the bus ride was between the Airport and Rio and so was the taxi.

Sorry you have trouble reading what I wrote. Hope there is no further misunderstanding and assumpation.

I think the trip was from the airport and not from the ferry.
Rio shuttle does not work after 6pm or about
Happened to me arriving at the ferry terminal at about 7pm.
First run to the ferry terminal is after 10.20/11 am
A bit weird, I know, since they do seem to have more than a car for that and all top hotels (and Rio is amongst them, even if not the top one) have non -stop multishuttle services to and from the ferry terminal.

I have to say that the macau taxi drivers are quite honest and always flag down the meter. Anyhow seen the size of the place and the distances one has to ride, there is not much way they can cheat you much even if they do a bit of a detour!

Thihg massage at Rio is absolutely a "no" for HE. it is a house rule. Please read my earlier reports specificallyuthis.
Have to say I did have a HE there in 2008, by the masseuse. She said she is not supposed to..but did it. At that time O thought it was jsut a bit of winding up. The way she performed the thigh massage was superb. Very tantric. Got me addicted. But have to say did not see her when back one year later and service, albeit being always great, not at the same level of that one.
Rio is certainly upscale and expensive. But once you know this and you voluntarily monger there (as I do) it is all ok.
I experienced a good cheaper shangai massage (main think: no soapie, no chance to chose the girl from a parade,but if you know one, ask for her).
I also experience Emperor. After Rio anything else is "downscale" (but not bad): the venue is smaller and so more crowded (to find lounge chairs, for instance). Had a good shangai massage and the girl was all for it and gave FJ fully naked. So not necessarily one has to go for the show-time girls. It is a matter of getting used to the establishment and have a feeling on how things go there.
Certainly a new comer, first time and alone guy has some difficulties in scoring the best experience at Rio.

The selection is limited. Compared to the places you have been, it is like going to a low class brothel. The food is so bad I can only compare it to some backwater imitation Hong Kong style cafe in the countryside in China.
Topping all off, the old locker room guy automatically added his tip onto our bill, WTF!

I am sorry for having overread this. From the airport there is another way to avoid the taxi charge, but it costs a little bit of time, depending what you value more: The Cotaijet ferry terminal is just a 7-10 minutes walk from the airport (Get out from the departure level and turn right), but only workable with small luggage. From there the shuttles run until late and are free.
For those who want to go to the Venetian: The shuttle from the airport to the Venetian is free also. From there there is a free shuttle to the Sands or to the HK_Macau ferry terminal.

It's been awhile since I been to Macau and I would like to try Supreme Sauna based on your recommendation. How much did you pay when you went to Supreme Sauna? Also, regarding the pick-up from the ferry terminal, how is that arranged. Thanks in advance for the info.

Nearly anywhere in Macau is a few bucks taxi trip, should the hotel location not be covered by a shuttle.
I would not be worried for the taxi budget in macau...the last of the problems!
