So I finished up my trip back where I started in Punta Cana / Bavaro. I had stayed in a budget hotel in Fruisa previously but it had its shortcomings, so I stumped up more $ for Hotel Flamboyan close to Steve's Bar. There were probably 8 girls working that place which I guess isn't bad for a Monday.

Tucked in to some Presidente's and didn't pull the trigger with any of the Chicas. Went to Drinkpoint afterwards and there were plenty of people there. Ended up in a smaller carwash or bar (between Steve's & Hotel Flamboyan. There was a fine thing there and we agreed on 1500. Walked back to the Hotel and we did the deed.

Having had my wallet emptied earlier in the trip, I didn't let her out of my sight. However, lightening struck twice! I'd love to see how the hell that played. I was fairly well on the sauce which definitely wouldn't have helped.

As she left, I checked my jeans and realised that my wallet was gone. Made a dash back to the bar. She coughed up the wallet but pesos removed. I made a bit of a song and dance in the hope that they wouldn't want any hassle.

I feigned a call to the policia but it looks like someone there called them anyway. So they ended up taking her in but that also involved me having to participate in the circus that followed. Ended up having to wait there all night as they said they couldn't do anything until morning. Each hour they promised me the next hour it would get sorted. And on and on it went until 1. 30 pm. Apparently, they were waiting on the 'Fiscal' (not sure what job title that is in English).

I tried to back out but they were not having it. It was a ludicrous situation of reporting a crime and being punished for it. We (2 street kids and one decent local) were left in a room. We could walk about a bit. But we were being watched. They knew I was getting more and more frustrated and could probably see that I was leaning towards up and leaving (but I was also scared of the consequences of that. Having a flight out within hours). I was at the doorway of the police station at one stage and the cop told me to go back to the room. I said I had enough. I was going. His response was that if I didn't cooperate, they would cuff me.

During the course of the morning, 2 slimy lawyers showed up to pick over the bones (some things never change regardless of the country). One offered to represent me seeing an opportunity to shake some more cash out of me. My answer was I reported a theft what the hell would I need representation for!

I was getting more than a little concerned that I might be in some sort of bother that they had not presented me with. They said that they had taken the girl to jail. So she wasn't there so I could assess if I had picked a girl that was [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord902][CodeWord902][/url]. I didn't think I had but I had been drinking quite a bit. It really was a cluster of a situation.

Eventually, they brought the girl back and we both sat down with the fiscal (I was relieved to see she looked of age). Told our stories. She asked what I wanted. I said I didn't care about the money I had to check out of my hotel and get to the airport. She was quite decent and polite in dealing with me. She said the police would take me straight back to the hotel. They were pfaffing around so I just walked out the door and hailed a motoconcho. Got back to the hotel mouldy after 12 hours of detention. Was a new man after a shower and shave. Checked out and dropped in to Steve's. Had a few hours to kill. Had a few beers and decided I'the take my last opportunity. With ST action with the first eligible chica that came by. There was hardly anyone there as it was early afternoon. However one did show and I popped. Then agreed on 500 peso with a motoconcho for a lift to the airport.

I was clearly stupid to get myself into this situation and whilst I wouldn't willingly put myself through that, the experience was interesting in terms of seeing how stuff gets dealt with in the Dom Rep. That was a pretty simple matter. Imagine something more involved.

All in all, its been a good trip here. There are ups and downs as there is with any location. I don't get much vacation time so probably won't be back as there are other places I'the like to check out such as Cuba. Thanks to all here for feedback and info. It always proves to be invaluable. And I hope my trip reports in turn are useful to others.

I went to airport with car from hotel Barcello Bavaro Beach Hotel driver and him and I were waiting for my girl to get her luggage on Air France and there was a guy with 2 drop dead gorgeous girls picking up a couple guys. It looked like some type of service and one of the girls was giving the look that she was available. Does anyone know of a service where the girls go to pick up the guys on their flight? They are represented by local pimps and even pimps from some of the other Caribbean Islands. These girls are very light skinned and smoking hot. It's possible something could have been prearranged as these pimps are known to bring the girls to hotel rooms etc.

I might have seen 2-3 of them (Col / Ven) in my hotel's disco, each with a local dude. I assumed they were just light-skinned "trophy" dominicenas, but now you've got me thinking. They certainly had "enhancements" more in line with what you see on Comombianas and Venezolanas.

Any idea what's the going rate for an 8 or 9 like that in PUJ? I have an idea what a 9 cost for short time in SDQ, but not in PUJ.

I used to know of Venezuelans that go in groups of three that are having a girls vacation to Punta Cana and they say the husbands of tourists pay top dollar for quickies when they can sneak away from the wives. The Punta Cana trips net 600 usd each for a weekend jaunt. They moved to Santo Domingo and my Venezuelan suddenly had outgrown me and my 2000 pesos and wanted 6 k but said I could get it for 5 k. Now she told me on wassap that she was in a relationship and was no longer available. Either she got a Dominican boyfriend who is now sponsoring her and going to marry her for her citizenship or either she has found a gringo who has taken her off the market for a premium. So goes the transformation of the Venezuelans in the Dominican Republic.

A couple years ago you could catch them fresh off the boat trolling Boca Chica but now they are situated and bypass that bullshit and go to the Dominican pimps who have the top paying guys in la Capital. No deal now with these girls. Personally I don't think they are worth the premium.

Being on a family vacation, I had the opportunity to sneak for a short time. Called a cab at the resort concierge, who got a cab in less than 5 min.

The driver, after giving him the address (España Av and Italia St) immediately hinted what I was looking for, despite my lame call of "I'm meeting some friends there".

It took 5 min to get to that place, rather dead on a January 1st. Drink Point was closed and Steve's looked like a dive bar with no women except the tenders.

I asked about other bars and the driver offered to escort me all the way. We went to a place I think it was El Volcán Rojo, facing the Flamboyant. Upstairs, 2 girls available, a 7 on a 1-10 scale, just wearing ordinary clothes and flip flops. Doable, but they asked for a $150 fee, which I deemed excessive for a quickie. They didn't accept a counteroffer of $100 for a short time, so I kissed goodbye and left the place. I paid $10 for my soda, a girls beer and the driver beer.

The taxi trip cost $40 for the round trip to the Magestic complex, including driver's waiting time.

Not a bad experience after all, since I got acquainted with the area, the prices and confirmed that it's possible to sneak for 60 minutes and have a quickie, transportation included.
